The Spring 2009 season draws to a close, with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (192) and series (499) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (226) and series (570) for the men. First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Schlitz For Us, Splits For You alternated splits with Chico's Bail Bonds. Showcasing Bob Brunker with his 512 series, Schlitz collected 3 wins against Chico's. In the meantime, Ken M. Wilson took the lead in Chico's with his 531 despite his team notching only a single win. Schlitz For Us, Splits For You end the season in 1st place, while Chico's end up with 2nd.

On lanes 21 & 22: Rule 6B accepted a challenge by No Pinheads. Although topped by Ryan Doll with his 490 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder, Rule 6B accomplished only 1 win against No Pinheads. In the midst of this, Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder called the shots for No Pinheads with his above-average 531 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Rule 6B complete in 3rd place, while No Pinheads go home with 4th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, Another Season traded lane malfunctions with WWJB. Featuring Cory Chorpenning with his 570 series, Another Season collected 3 wins against WWJB. Countering this, Rich Foster dominated WWJB with his phenomenal 489 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, Another Season close out in 5th place, while WWJB cross the finish line in 6th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Turkey Sandwich hung out with Chicks With Balls. With the strength of Zach Frank with his 424 series, Turkey Sandwich collected 3 wins against the Chicks. Simultaneously, Kelly Minihan guided the Chicks with her fantastic 435 despite her team notching only a single win. Turkey Sandwich end in 7th place, while the Chicks wind up in 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends sparred with XXX. Even though highlighted by the skills of Drew Eldridge with his above-average 440 series, Wonder Friends accomplished only 1 win against XXX. As for the opposition, Rich DeYoung drew the spotlight in XXX with his 488 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends drop 1 spot in the standings to 10th place, while XXX moves 1 spot to 9th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Ben Wetteborn (487, previous best 450).

After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Phil Schroeder (Division 2), with landing in second place. Phil will pocket the nice first-place pot, while will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!
