The Spring 2009 season draws to a close, with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (192) and series (499) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (226) and series (570) for the men. First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Schlitz For Us, Splits For You had some one-on-one time with Chico's Bail Bonds. Reinforced by Bob Brunker with his 512 series, Schlitz collected 3 wins against Chico's. As for the opposition, Ken M. Wilson reigned supreme in Chico's with his 531 despite his team notching only a single win. Schlitz For Us, Splits For You close out in 1st place, while Chico's come out in 2nd.

On lanes 21 & 22: Rule 6B kept stealing sips of beer from No Pinheads. Although topped by Ryan Doll with his 490 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder, Rule 6B accomplished only 1 win against No Pinheads. Concurrently, Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder dominated No Pinheads with his above-average 531 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Rule 6B end in 3rd place, while No Pinheads go home with 4th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, Another Season took turns kicking the ball return with WWJB. Headlined by Cory Chorpenning with his 570 series, Another Season collected 3 wins against WWJB. On the adjacent lane, Rich Foster took the lead in WWJB with his outstanding 489 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, Another Season end the season in 5th place, while WWJB wind up in 6th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Turkey Sandwich did battle with Chicks With Balls. Featuring Zach Frank with his 424 series, Turkey Sandwich collected 3 wins against the Chicks. On the flipside, Kelly Minihan oversaw the Chicks with her wondrous 435 despite her team notching only a single win. Turkey Sandwich finish in 7th place, while the Chicks cros the finish line in 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends hung out with XXX. Notwithstanding the leadership of Drew Eldridge with his above-average 440 series, Wonder Friends accomplished only 1 win against XXX. In the midst of this, Rich DeYoung shined in XXX with his 488 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends drop 1 spot in the standings to 10th place, while XXX moves 1 spot to 9th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Ben Wetteborn (487, previous best 450).

After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Phil Schroeder (Division 2), with landing in second place. Phil will pocket the nice first-place pot, while will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!
