Fall 2008 Week 11 Robo-RecapThe eleventh week of Fall 2008 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (174) and series (511) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (245) and series (663) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty kept stealing sips of beer from Chico's Bail Bonds. Showcasing Andrea Caudillo with her above-average 435 series, Spare The Rod collected 2.5 wins against Chico's. Conversely, Ken M. Wilson showed off in Chico's with his 567 despite his team losing the matchup with only 1.5 victories. Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty remains in 7th place, while Chico's remain in 2nd.

week11On lanes 21 & 22: Bowl Movement spent a romantic evening with Dave and the Wingers. Blessed by #1 Power-Ranked Carter Collins and his awe-inspiring 499 series, Bowl Movement split the series with the Wingers. On the other side, Rob Kaszuba took the lead in the Wingers with his dramatic 521 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bowl Movement remains in 6th place, while the Wingers remain in 9th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Ain't No Sh!t traded lane malfunctions with Bad Newz Kennels. With top billing by Cory Chorpenning with his above-average 663 series, with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler , Ain't No Sh!t collected 3 wins against the Kennels. Meanwhile, Freda Schroeder laid down the law in the Kennels with her above-average 511 despite her team notching only a single win. Ain't No Sh!t remains in 1st place, while the Kennels sink 1 spot to 5th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Dios Mios had a delightful time with Livin' On A Spare. Featuring Bill Krejci with his 520 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Kris Hiestand, Dios Mios celebrated a clean sweep over Livin' On A Spare. Countering this, Tom Finley commanded Livin' On A Spare with his above-average 424 despite his team getting swept. Dios Mios remains in 3rd place, while Livin' On A Spare remains in 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: WWJB accepted a challenge by Is This Billable?. Regardless of the star power of AJ Taylor with his above-average 355 series, WWJB got swept by Is This Billable?. Across the ball return, Ryan Doll ruled Is This Billable? with his 584 as they swept the competition. WWJB remains in 10th place, while Is This Billable? moves 1 spot to 4th.

Bowlers slipping under the velvet rope in front of The 200 Club include: Cory Chorpenning (245,234), Duncan Ferber (211), Ken M. Wilson (203), Kendall Kukowski (227,233), Rob Kaszuba (200), and Ryan Doll (219,222)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Kendall Kukowski (657, previous best 640).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Kendall Kukowski walloped Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Dennis Laube came closest). Kris Hiestand creamed Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Janelle (Laube) Lamar came closest). Finally, Phil Schroeder (Division 2) topped this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz calls the shots Division 1; Aubrey Moren tops Division 2; Carter Collins governs Division 3; and Lindsay Jamis leads Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Dios Mios (hcp 47) will challenge 5th-place Bad Newz Kennels. Dios Mios are expected to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Kennels are forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 7th-place Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty will chill with 10th-place WWJB (hcp 60). Spare The Rod might perform well and win the series; while WWJB ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 2nd-place Chico's Bail Bonds will spend some quality time with 4th-place Is This Billable? (hcp 55). Chico's will likely maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Is This Billable? will probably hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 9th-place Dave and the Wingers (hcp 214) will throw some gutter balls with 1st-place Ain't No Sh!t. The Wingers might perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while Ain't No Sh!t ought to drop their average a bit even as they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 6th-place Bowl Movement will test their mettle against 8th-place Livin' On A Spare (hcp 20). Bowl Movement is predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Livin' On A Spare; while Livin' On A Spare is anticipated to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
