The fifth week of Fall 2008 saw four teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (161) and series (424) for the women. As for the men, Duncan Ferber snagged this week's high game with a 224, and high series was earned by Cory Chorpenning with a 624. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Bowl Movement deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Is This Billable?. Reinforced by Travis Kleiner with his above-average 471 series, Bowl Movement collected 3 wins against Is This Billable?. Countering this, Ryan Doll guided Is This Billable? with his above-average 570 despite his team notching only a single win. Bowl Movement leaps 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Is This Billable? remains in 6th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Dios Mios alternated splits with Ain't No Sh!t. Though featuring Bill Krejci with his below-average 492 series, with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Lefty John Boren, Dios Mios got swept by Ain't No Sh!t. As for the opposition, Cory Chorpenning shined in Ain't No Sh!t with his above-average 624 as they swept the competition. Dios Mios drop 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Ain't No Sh!t remains in 3rd.
On lanes 23 & 24: WWJB spent some quality time with Chico's Bail Bonds. Although topped by Justin Wehrman with his 434 series, WWJB got swept by Chico's. Conversely, #1 Head-to-Head Ken M. Wilson oversaw Chico's with his above-average 583 as they swept the competition. WWJB plummets 2 spots in the standings to 9th place, while Chico's move 1 spot to 1st.
On lanes 25 & 26: Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty chucked gutter balls with Bad Newz Kennels. Starring Will Jeter with his 469 series, Spare The Rod celebrated a clean sweep over the Kennels. On the other half of the score sheet, Dennis Laube called the shots for the Kennels with his 463 despite his team getting swept. Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty leaps 3 spots in the standings to 7th place, while the Kennels sink 1 spot to 5th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Livin' On A Spare hung out with Dave and the Wingers. Blessed by Most Valuable Bowler Amanda Zahnweh and her breathtaking 406 series, Livin' On A Spare collected 3 wins against the Wingers. On the other side, Rob Kaszuba drew the spotlight in the Wingers with his dramatic 484 despite his team notching only a single win. Livin' On A Spare leaps 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while the Wingers plunge 2 spots to 10th.

A new personal high game was set tonight by Rob Kaszuba (204, previous best 199). 
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Duncan Ferber mopped up Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Brett Schroeder came closest). Travis Kleiner got the better of Division 3, and Amanda Zahnweh cleaned up Division 4. Finally, David Parre (Division 2) creamed this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson, Carl Goetz, and Duncan Ferber lead Division 1 in a tie; David Parre leads Division 2; Travis Kleiner and Carter Collins reign over Division 3 in a tie; and Amanda Zahnweh dominates Division 4.

- First, on lanes 19&20, 8th-place Livin' On A Spare (hcp 13) will spend some quality time with 9th-place WWJB. Livin' On A Spare is expected to perform well and win the series; while WWJB is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 7th-place Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty will chuck some balls with 4th-place Bowl Movement (hcp 42).
