The third week of Fall 2008 saw three teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Janelle (Laube) Lamar landed this week's high game for the women with a 181, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 420. As for the men, Duncan Ferber earned this week's high game (236) and series (558).And the Tournament of Champions divisions are now set, ready for one-on-one action to begin next week! First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty waged a heated competition against Livin' On A Spare. Blessed by Will Jeter with his 488 series, Spare The Rod collected 3 wins against Livin' On A Spare. On the other side, Tom Finley mastered Livin' On A Spare with his above-average 396 despite his team notching only a single win. Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty leaps 2 spots in the standings to 7th place, while Livin' On A Spare plunges 2 spots to 9th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Dave and the Wingers had a rendezvous with WWJB. Highlighting the skills of #1 Power-Ranked Rob Kaszuba and his breathtaking 450 series, the Wingers collected 3 wins against WWJB. On the adjacent lane, #1 Head-to-Head Justin Wehrman ruled WWJB with his above-average 495 despite his team notching only a single win. Dave and the Wingers leap 2 spots in the standings to 8th place, while WWJB remains in 4th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Bowl Movement entered a showdown to the death with Bad Newz Kennels. Though featuring Travis Kleiner with his 387 series, Bowl Movement accomplished only 1 win against the Kennels. Simultaneously, Dennis Laube took the lead in the Kennels with his above-average 480 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowl Movement remains in 5th place, while the Kennels jump 2 spots to 6th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Chico's Bail Bonds faced off against Ain't No Sh!t. Reinforced by Ken M. Wilson with his 553 series, Chico's split the series with Ain't No Sh!t. On the other half of the score sheet, Duncan Ferber reigned supreme in Ain't No Sh!t with his 558 as they matched their opponent in wins. Chico's Bail Bonds remains in 3rd place, while Ain't No Sh!t remains in 2nd.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Dios Mios kept grabbing the balls of Is This Billable?. Demonstrating the prowess of Bill Krejci with his below-average 498 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Lefty John Boren, Dios Mios celebrated a clean sweep over Is This Billable?. While that was going down, Ryan Doll drew the spotlight in Is This Billable? with his 526 despite his team getting swept. Dios Mios remains in 1st place, while Is This Billable? plunges 4 spots to 10th.
