The fourth week of Spring 2007 saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (170) and series (456) for the women, while Stefan Miller earned this week's high game (246) and series (682) for the men. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions also kicked off tonight, beginning of 13 weeks of one-on-one bowling excitement! Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 15 & 16: King Pins deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Oily Balls. Despite being led by Duncan Ferber with his above-average 581 series, King Pins accomplished only 1 win against Oily Balls. On the other side, Ken M. Wilson guided Oily Balls with his 593 as his team took the series with 3 wins. King Pins remains in 10th place, while Oily Balls remain in 2nd.
On lanes 17 & 18: Unstoppabowl kept stealing sips of beer from Doll's Balls. Demonstrating the prowess of Cory Chorpenning with his above-average 622 series, Unstoppabowl missed a clean sweep over Doll's Balls by just one pin.In the meantime, Ryan Doll called the shots for Doll's Balls with his below-average 467 as his team missed getting swept by just one pin. Unstoppabowl remains in 3rd place, while Doll's Balls plunge 3 spots to 7th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Those 4 Bowlers couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Guttersluts. Though featuring Nik Domann with his 493 series, 4 Bowlers accomplished only 1 win against Guttersluts. On the other half of the score sheet, Bill Krejci laid down the law in Guttersluts with his phenomenal 562 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Those 4 Bowlers remains in 5th place, while Guttersluts remain in 1st.
On lanes 21 & 22: Churn and Burn kept grabbing the balls of X9XX. Although topped by James Cholke with his above-average 539 series, Churn and Burn got swept by X9XX. While that was going down, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Stefan Miller ruled X9XX with his wondrous 682 as they swept the competition. Churn and Burn plummets 2 spots in the standings to 8th place, while X9XX jumps 3 spots to 4th.
Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Frickin' Ten Pin alternated between bowling and dry humping T.B.D.. Regardless of the star power of Phil Schroeder with his above-average 511 series, Ten Pin accomplished only 1 win against T.B.D.. Countering this, Steve Kiernan mastered T.B.D. with his 573 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Frickin' Ten Pin drops 1 spot in the standings to 9th place, while T.B.D. jumps 3 spots to 6th.

New personal high games were set tonight by Stefan Miller (246, previous best 226) and Dave Hickerson (193, previous best 181). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Stefan Miller (682, previous best 573). Adding to the excitement, the 682 rolled by Stefan Miller is this season's new high series for men.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Cory Chorpenning ruled Division 1, while Stefan Miller vanquished Division 2. Chris Lewis staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 3, and Daniel Bolton eradicated Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Kendall Kukowski (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Cory Chorpenning reigns over Division 1; Stefan Miller calls the shots for Division 2; Chris Lewis runs the show in Division 3; and Daniel Bolton is in the driver's seat in Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 15&16, 9th-place Frickin' Ten Pin will share a couple of pitchers with 1st-place Guttersluts (hcp 6). Ten Pin is expected to maintain their current strength as they just barely lose the series; while Guttersluts are forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
