Fall 2006 Week 12 Robo-RecapThe tweltfh week of Fall 2006 saw two teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford landed this week's high game for the women with a 164, and women's high series was bagged by Deena Slinkard with a 419. As for the men, Thomas Lin earned this week's high game (226) and series (610). Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: TBD spent a romantic evening with New Balls, Old Rack. Reinforced by David Parre with his above-average 494 series, TBD collected 3 wins against the Old Rack. While that was going down, Ken M. Wilson ruled the Old Rack with his 545 despite his team notching only a single win. TBD remains in 8th place, while the Old Rack sinks 1 spot to 3rd.

Jeremy Cline celebrates the passage of medical marijuana in Missouri. On lanes 17 & 18: All Belts Are Off celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Bowlkake2. Notwithstanding the leadership of Seth Gunderson with his 474 series, the Belt accomplished only 1 win against Bowlkake2. Countering this, #1 Head-to-Head Thomas Lin reigned supreme in Bowlkake2 with his marvelous 610 as his team took the series with 3 wins. All Belts Are Off drops 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Bowlkake2 jumps 2 spots to 4th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Hez-Bowl-lah hung out with Manute Bowl. Blessed by Most Valuable Bowler Nik Domann and his dazzling 518 series, Hez-Bowl-lah celebrated a clean sweep over Manute Bowl. On the other half of the score sheet, Nick Crofoot showed off in Manute Bowl with his 404 despite his team getting swept. Hez-Bowl-lah leaps 2 spots in the standings to 1st place, while Manute Bowl sinks 1 spot to 6th.

On lanes 21 & 22: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter alternated splits with Guttersluts. Though featuring Ryan Doll with his 509 series, Not Gutter got swept by the Guttersluts. Meanwhile, John Boren dominated the Guttersluts with his fantastic 599 as they swept the competition. I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter remains in 9th place, while the Guttersluts remain in 10th.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Split Happens couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Frickin' Ten Pins. Although topped by Nick Allegri with his 497 series, Split Happens accomplished only 1 win against Frickin' Ten Pins. Conversely, Carl Goetz oversaw Frickin' Ten Pins with his above-average 565 (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Phil Schroeder) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Split Happens drop 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Frickin' Ten Pins remain in 7th.

Bowlers slipping under the velvet rope in front of The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (211), John Boren (225,215), John Richardson (203), Ken M. Wilson (212), Phil Schroeder (204), and Thomas Lin (226)

New personal best series were rolled tonight by Kris Hiestand (450, previous best 404) and Phil Schroeder (532, previous best 526).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Carl Goetz came closest), while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Seth Gunderson came closest). Phil Schroeder had his way with Division 3, and Greg Middleton got the better of Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about this bracket as it was a complete embarassment. In terms of overall points: Stefan Miller runs the show in Division 1; Ryan Doll and Rich DeYoung govern Division 2 in a tie; Phil Schroeder is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Andy McLeod holds the reins in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 15&16, 4th-place Bowlkake2 will match wits with 9th-place I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter (hcp 97). Bowlkake2 is expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Not Gutter is forecast to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 6th-place Manute Bowl (hcp 3) will meet with 8th-place TBD. Manute Bowl might perform well and win the series; while TBD ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 19&20, 7th-place Frickin' Ten Pins (hcp 40) will chuck some balls with 5th-place All Belts Are Off. Frickin' Ten Pins will likely roll decently, but split the series with the Belt; while the Belt will probably raise their average while they keep the series tied.
  • Next up, on lanes 21&22, 3rd-place New Balls, Old Rack will hang out with 2nd-place Split Happens (hcp 65). The Old Rack might maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Split Happens ought to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Finally, on lanes 23&24, 10th-place Guttersluts (hcp 134) will compete against 1st-place Hez-Bowl-lah. The Guttersluts are predicted to perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while Hez-Bowl-lah is anticipated to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
