The Fall 2006 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Deena Slinkard landed this week's high game for the women with a 192, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 502. As for the men, David Codding earned this week's high game (222) and series (623). Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 11 & 12: New Balls, Old Rack sparred with Guttersluts. Featuring Ken M. Wilson with his 527 series, the Old Rack collected 3 wins against the Guttersluts. Countering this, Kris Hiestand shined in the Guttersluts with his 347 despite his team notching only a single win. New Balls, Old Rack begins the season in 4th place, while the Guttersluts begin in 9th.
On lanes 13 & 14: Hez-Bowl-lah kept grabbing the balls of All Belts Are Off. Even though highlighted by the skills of Nik Domann with his 473 series, Hez-Bowl-lah accomplished only 1 win against the Belt. In the midst of this, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head David Codding laid down the law in the Belt with his 623 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Hez-Bowl-lah gets underway in 6th place, while the Belt gets going with 2nd.
On lanes 15 & 16: Frickin' Ten Pins tussled with TBD. Topped by Carl Goetz with his 539 series, Frickin' Ten Pins celebrated a clean sweep over TBD. Concurrently, David Parre oversaw TBD with his 456 despite his team getting swept. Frickin' Ten Pins leaves the gate in 1st place, while TBD gets rolling in 10th.
On lanes 17 & 18: Manute Bowl celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Bowlkake2. Despite the strength of Andy McLeod with his 435 series, Manute Bowl accomplished only 1 win against Bowlkake2. On the flipside, Thomas Lin ruled Bowlkake2 with his 548 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Manute Bowl begins with 7th place, while Bowlkake2 starts off with 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 19 & 20: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter took turns kicking the ball return with Split Happens. Regardless of the star power of Ryan Doll with his 475 series, Not Gutter accomplished only 1 win against Split Happens. On the other side, Nick Allegri drew the spotlight in Split Happens with his 545 as his team took the series with 3 wins. I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter 8th place, while Split Happens 5th.
