By now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Spring 2006 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. The seventh week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Tracy Rychlewski landed this week's high game for the women with a 170, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 460. As for the men, Jason Carpio snagged this week's high game with a 256, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 661. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Split Happens had a rendezvous with Sweeter Than Yoohoo. With the strength of Ryan Doll with his above-average 509 series, Split Happens collected 3 wins against Yoohoo. Countering this, Thomas Lin guided Yoohoo with his above-average 615 (along with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Jason Carpio) despite his team notching only a single win. Split Happens remains in 2nd place, while Yoohoo sinks 1 spot to 4th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Guttersluts entered a showdown to the death with Bowl Movement. In spite of top-billing by Erin deVries with her dazzling 374 series, Guttersluts accomplished only 1 win against Bowl Movement. In the meantime, Carl Goetz drew the spotlight in Bowl Movement with his above-average 661 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Guttersluts remains in 8th place, while Bowl Movement moves 1 spot to 3rd.

Simultaneously, Andy Metzler mastered Yo Mama with his 519 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bora Bora remains in 6th place, while Yo Mama remains in 5th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Tatonka tussled with I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka!. Despite being led by Andy McLeod with his amazing 522 series, Tatonka accomplished only 1 win against the Belt. On the other side, Most Valuable Bowler Jason Carpio reigned supreme in the Belt with his above-average 630 as his team took the series with 3 wins. In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Carl Goetz staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 1, while David Codding cleaned up Division 2. John Richardson mopped up Division 3, and Ryan Doll triumphed over his enemies in Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about this bracket as it was a complete embarassment. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz leads Division 1; David Codding runs the show in Division 2; Tim Segraves governs Division 3; and Ryan Doll is in the driver's seat in Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 21&22, 1st-place I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! will share a couple of pitchers with 2nd-place Split Happens (hcp 136). The Belt is expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Split Happens are forecast to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
- Moving to lanes 23&24, 3rd-place Bowl Movement will spend some quality time with 4th-place Sweeter Than Yoohoo (hcp 87). Bowl Movement might perform well and sweep the series; while Yoohoo ought to drop their average a bit while they endure a rough night.
- Then, over on lanes 25&26, 5th-place Yo Mama (hcp 64) will challenge 6th-place Bora Bora. Yo Mama will likely roll decently, but split the series with Bora Bora; while Bora Bora will probably raise their average while they keep the series tied.
- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 7th-place Tatonka will throw some gutter balls with 8th-place Guttersluts (hcp 96). Tatonka is predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Guttersluts are anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
