The fifth week of Spring 2006 saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Tracy Rychlewski landed this week's high game for the women with a 155, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 439. As for the men, Tim Segraves snagged this week's high game with a 246, and high series was earned by David Codding with a 637. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Sweeter Than Yoohoo had some one-on-one time with Bowl Movement. Highlighting the skills of Tim Segraves with his dazzling 601 series, Yoohoo collected 3 wins against Bowl Movement. Simultaneously, #1 Head-to-Head David Codding took the lead in Bowl Movement with his wondrous 637 despite his team notching only a single win. Sweeter Than Yoohoo leaps 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Bowl Movement plunges 2 spots to 4th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Split Happens accepted a challenge by Guttersluts. Demonstrating the prowess of Ryan Doll with his breathtaking 510 series, Split Happens collected 3 wins against Guttersluts. Across the ball return, Travis Kleiner drew the spotlight in Guttersluts with his above-average 403 despite his team notching only a single win. Split Happens leap 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Guttersluts remain in 8th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Tatonka deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Bora Bora. With the strength of #1 Power-Ranked Andy McLeod and his stunning 537 series, Tatonka split the series with Bora Bora. In the midst of this, Dennis Laube reigned supreme in Bora Bora with his 514 as they matched their opponent in wins. Tatonka remains in 7th place, while Bora Bora remains in 5th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! shared a few beers with Yo Mama. Notwithstanding the leadership of Pat Searcy with his above-average 567 series, the Belt accomplished only 1 win against Yo Mama. On the other half of the score sheet, Andy Metzler mastered Yo Mama with his 521 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Jason Caton) as his team took the series with 3 wins. I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! remains in 1st place, while Yo Mama remains in 6th.
Bowlers who lied to their significant other claiming bowling was running long then went out for after-bowling drinks at The 200 Club include: Andy McLeod (212), Carl Goetz (210), David Codding (212,232), Ken M. Wilson (202), Michael Basham (218), Pat Searcy (231), Ryan Doll (225), Seth Gunderson (215), Steve Kiernan (201), and Tim Segraves (246)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Michael Basham spanked Division 1, while David Codding creamed Division 2. Tim Segraves won Division 3, and Andrea Wilson trounced Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Jason Carpio (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Michael Basham calls the shots for Division 1; David Codding is in the driver's seat in Division 2; Tim Segraves dominates Division 3; and Ryan Doll and Andrea Wilson hold the reins in Division 4 in a tie.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 21&22, 6th-place Yo Mama will chuck some balls with 7th-place Tatonka (hcp 1). Yo Mama is expected to roll a little low and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Tatonka is forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
- Moving to lanes 23&24, 5th-place Bora Bora (hcp 84) will throw some gutter balls with 1st-place I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka!. Bora Bora might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Belt ought to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
- Then, over on lanes 25&26, 3rd-place Split Happens (hcp 188) will share a couple of pitchers with 4th-place Bowl Movement. Split Happens will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Bowl Movement will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 8th-place Guttersluts (hcp 237) will battle 2nd-place Sweeter Than Yoohoo. Guttersluts are predicted to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Yoohoo is anticipated to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
