Fall 2005 Week 10 Robo-RecapThe tenth week of Fall 2005 saw one team climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Janelle (Laube) Lamar picked up this week's high game (183) and series (487) for the women. As for the men, Carl Goetz snagged this week's high game with a 212, and high series was earned by Ken M. Wilson with a 568. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Three Men and a Babe accepted a challenge by Bora Bora!. Showcasing Ken M. Wilson with his 568 series, Three Men and a Babe collected 3 wins against Bora Bora!. Across the ball return, Phil Schroeder shined in Bora Bora! with his above-average 469 despite his team notching only a single win. Three Men and a Babe remains in 6th place, while Bora Bora! sinks 1 spot to 4th.

week10On lanes 23 & 24: Same Belt, New Notch alternated between bowling and dry humping Tatonka. Despite being led by Carl Goetz with his below-average 506 series, the Belt accomplished only 1 win against Tatonka. On the flipside, Will Jeter commanded Tatonka with his 456 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Same Belt, New Notch drops 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Tatonka remains in 1st.

On lanes 25 & 26: The Big LeBowlskies shared a few beers with Munson'd. Highlighting the skills of Michael Basham with his above-average 511 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Eric Lynch, The Big LeBowlskies celebrated a clean sweep over Munson'd. . With Munson'd forfeiting, all The Big LeBowlskies needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. The Big LeBowlskies leap 2 spots in the standings to 2nd place, while Munson'd remains in 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Derka, Derka traded lane malfunctions with Harry Potter and the Magic Balls. Topped by Most Valuable Bowler Eric Lynch and his above-average 466 series, Derka, Derka split the series with Harry Potter. Concurrently, Andy Metzler laid down the law in Harry Potter with his above-average 493 as they matched their opponent in wins. Derka, Derka remains in 5th place, while Harry Potter remains in 7th.

Bowlers entering The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (212), Demond Robinson (205), and Ken M. Wilson (202)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Andy Metzler had his way with Division 1, while Scott Murdock decimated Division 2. Janelle (Laube) Lamar swept Division 3, and Greg Franklin won Division 4. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson dominates Division 1; Scott Murdock governs Division 2; Phil Schroeder, Janelle (Laube) Lamar, and Brad Zollars lead Division 3 in a tie; and Andrea DeLong holds the reins in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 21&22, 8th-place Munson'd (hcp 12) will test their mettle against 1st-place Tatonka. Munson'd is expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Tatonka is forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 23&24, 6th-place Three Men and a Babe will chuck some balls with 5th-place Derka, Derka (hcp 35). Three Men and a Babe might maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Derka, Derka ought to drop their average a bit while they endure a rough night.
  • Then, over on lanes 25&26, 3rd-place Same Belt, New Notch will chill with 7th-place Harry Potter and the Magic Balls (hcp 93). The Belt will likely have a bit of an off night, yet still manage to win the series; while Harry Potter will probably hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 2nd-place The Big LeBowlskies will battle 4th-place Bora Bora! (hcp 67). The Big LeBowlskies are predicted to perform well and win the series; while Bora Bora! is anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
