The fourteenth week of Fall 2004 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and four rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (193) and series (541) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (269) and series (701) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Recreation Intoxication celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Bowlkake. Headlined by Pat Searcy with his astounding 701 series, Recreation celebrated a clean sweep over Bowlkake. While that was going down, Justin Strelow commanded Bowlkake with his above-average 567 despite his team getting swept. Recreation Intoxication remains in 2nd place, while Bowlkake remains in 6th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Die Schlag-Maschinen shared a few beers with Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers. Although topped by Jerry Krall with his remarkable 462 series, Die Schlag-Maschinen accomplished only 1 win against the Ninjas. In the midst of this, Dennis Laube laid down the law in the Ninjas with his 506 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Die Schlag-Maschinen remains in 8th place, while the Ninjas sink 1 spot to 4th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Ashley Razabacks sparred with Paul Hamms. With the strength of Rich DeYoung with his above-average 536 series, the Razabacks celebrated a clean sweep over the Hamms. Countering this, Bill Krejci guided the Hamms with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 461 despite his team getting swept. Ashley Razabacks leap 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while the Hamms remain in 7th.
Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: The Belt Strikes Back alternated between bowling and dry humping A Solid No. 2. With top billing by trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Demond Robinson and his spectacular 683 series, the Belt celebrated a clean sweep over No. 2. Concurrently, Eric Lynch reigned supreme in No. 2 with his above-average 546 despite his team getting swept. The Belt Strikes Back remains in 1st place, while No. 2 remains in 5th.
Bowlers paying far too much for well vodka at The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (223), Demond Robinson (201,246,236), and Pat Searcy (253,269)

NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Ashley Razabacks (hcp 66) will battle 1st-place The Belt Strikes Back. The Razabacks are expected to perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while the Belt is forecast to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 5th-place A Solid No. 2 will spend some quality time with 7th-place Paul Hamms (hcp 50). No. 2 might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while the Hamms ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 8th-place Die Schlag-Maschinen (hcp 193) will test their mettle against 6th-place Bowlkake. Die Schlag-Maschinen will likely roll decently, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Bowlkake will probably drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
- Finally, on lanes 25&26, 2nd-place Recreation Intoxication will throw some gutter balls with 4th-place Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers (hcp 81). Recreation is predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while the Ninjas are anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
