Fall 2004 Week 14 Robo-RecapThe fourteenth week of Fall 2004 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and four rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (193) and series (541) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (269) and series (701) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Recreation Intoxication celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Bowlkake. Headlined by Pat Searcy with his astounding 701 series, Recreation celebrated a clean sweep over Bowlkake. While that was going down, Justin Strelow commanded Bowlkake with his above-average 567 despite his team getting swept. Recreation Intoxication remains in 2nd place, while Bowlkake remains in 6th.

An irritated Kody waits for Russell to bowl.On lanes 21 & 22: Die Schlag-Maschinen shared a few beers with Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers. Although topped by Jerry Krall with his remarkable 462 series, Die Schlag-Maschinen accomplished only 1 win against the Ninjas. In the midst of this, Dennis Laube laid down the law in the Ninjas with his 506 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Die Schlag-Maschinen remains in 8th place, while the Ninjas sink 1 spot to 4th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Ashley Razabacks sparred with Paul Hamms. With the strength of Rich DeYoung with his above-average 536 series, the Razabacks celebrated a clean sweep over the Hamms. Countering this, Bill Krejci guided the Hamms with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 461 despite his team getting swept. Ashley Razabacks leap 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while the Hamms remain in 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: The Belt Strikes Back alternated between bowling and dry humping A Solid No. 2. With top billing by trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Demond Robinson and his spectacular 683 series, the Belt celebrated a clean sweep over No. 2. Concurrently, Eric Lynch reigned supreme in No. 2 with his above-average 546 despite his team getting swept. The Belt Strikes Back remains in 1st place, while No. 2 remains in 5th.

Bowlers paying far too much for well vodka at The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (223), Demond Robinson (201,246,236), and Pat Searcy (253,269)

New personal high games were set tonight by Pat Searcy (269, previous best 246), Jerry Krall (198, previous best 180), Demond Robinson (246, previous best 228), and Andee Weinfurt (190, previous best 187). The 541 rolled by Angela Bradford is tied for the 10th-best women's series in league history!
The 701 rolled by Pat Searcy is the new 3rd-best series in league history!

In terms of overall points: Dennis Laube calls the shots Division 1; Jason Carpio and Eric Lynch reign over Division 2 in a tie; Janelle (Laube) Lamar holds the reins in Division 3; and Ray Haynes leads Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Ashley Razabacks (hcp 66) will battle 1st-place The Belt Strikes Back. The Razabacks are expected to perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while the Belt is forecast to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 5th-place A Solid No. 2 will spend some quality time with 7th-place Paul Hamms (hcp 50). No. 2 might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while the Hamms ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 8th-place Die Schlag-Maschinen (hcp 193) will test their mettle against 6th-place Bowlkake. Die Schlag-Maschinen will likely roll decently, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Bowlkake will probably drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 2nd-place Recreation Intoxication will throw some gutter balls with 4th-place Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers (hcp 81). • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers (hcp 74) will battle 1st-place The Belt Strikes Back. The Ninjas will likely roll decently, but split the series with the Belt; while the Belt will probably hold steady as they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 7th-place A Solid No. 2 will roll against 8th-place Die Schlag-Maschinen (hcp 117). No. 2 is predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Die Schlag-Maschinen is anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)

Fall 2004, Week 10

Posted by BowlingBot On November - 2 - 2004ADD COMMENTS

Fall 2004 Week 10 Robo-RecapThe tenth week of Fall 2004 saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (202) and series (514) for the women. As for the men, Nik Domann snagged this week's high game with a 235, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 616. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: The Belt Strikes Back kept stealing sips of beer from Recreation Intoxication. Headlined by Nik Domann with his above-average 559 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against Recreation . Countering this, Pat Searcy showed off in Recreation with his 541 despite his team notching only a single win. The Belt Strikes Back leaps 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Recreation sinks 1 spot to 5th.

week10On lanes 21 & 22: Bowlkake spent some quality time with A Solid No. 2. Although topped by Carl Goetz with his 616 series, Bowlkake accomplished only 1 win against No. 2. In the meantime, Corey Weinfurt drew the spotlight in No. 2 with his 528 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Eric Lynch) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlkake drops 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while No. 2 moves 1 spot to 4th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Paul Hamms celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers. With top billing by #1 Power-Ranked Mark McClendon and his splendid 555 series, the Hamms split the series with the Ninjas. Meanwhile, #1 Head-to-Head Dennis Laube oversaw the Ninjas with his above-average 544 as they matched their opponent in wins. Paul Hamms drop 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while the Ninjas move 1 spot to 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Die Schlag-Maschinen entered a showdown to the death with Ashley Razabacks. In spite of the prowess of Jerry Krall with his 396 series, Die Schlag-Maschinen accomplished only 1 win against the Razabacks. Across the ball return, Stefan Paz mastered the Razabacks with his above-average 517 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Die Schlag-Maschinen remains in 8th place, while the Razabacks remain in 1st.

Bowlers sneaking into The 200 Club include: Angela Bradford (202), Carl Goetz (210,214), Mark McClendon (218,201), Nik Domann (235), and Pat Searcy (226)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Dennis Laube topped Division 1, while Eric Lynch triumphed over his enemies in Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Amanda Schulte came closest), and nobody claimed victory in Division 4, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about Division 4 as it was a complete embarassment. In terms of overall points: Dennis Laube dominates Division 1; Jason Carpio reigns over Division 2; Janelle (Laube) Lamar is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Ray Haynes holds the reins in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 19&20, 6th-place Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers (hcp 63) will face 4th-place A Solid No. 2. The Ninjas are expected to perform well and win the series; while No. 2 is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 2nd-place The Belt Strikes Back will share a couple of pitchers with 8th-place Die Schlag-Maschinen (hcp 136). The Belt might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Die Schlag-Maschinen ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 7th-place Bowlkake will socialize with 1st-place Ashley Razabacks (hcp 139). Bowlkake will likely maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Razabacks will probably hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 3rd-place Paul Hamms (hcp 72) will battle 5th-place Recreation Intoxication. The Hamms are predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Recreation is anticipated to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
