Fall 2002 Week 16 Robo-RecapThe Fall 2002 season draws to a close, with Pop Gunns officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Janelle (Laube) Lamar landed this week's high game for the women with a 160, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 437. As for the men, Carl Goetz earned this week's high game (212) and series (575). Read on for all the rest of the details!

Conversely, Pat Searcy showed off in Top Guns with his 522 despite his team notching only a single win. Pop Gunns end in 1st place, while Top Guns go home with 2nd.

Fall 2002 Week 15 Robo-RecapA stagnated fifteenth week of Fall 2002 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (186) and series (432) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (214) and series (582) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Pop Gunns couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Team 6. Topped by Ken M. Wilson with his above-average 561 series, Pop Gunns celebrated a clean sweep over Team 6. On the flipside, Nik Domann commanded Team 6 with his fantastic 495 despite his team getting swept. Pop Gunns remains in 1st place, while Team 6 remains in 4th.

week15On lanes 19 & 20: UnaBowlers had a delightful time with GRRR. Headlined by trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Corey Weinfurt and his amazing 528 series, the UnaBowlers celebrated a clean sweep over GRRR. In the midst of this, Byron Hester showed off in GRRR with his 370 despite his team getting swept. UnaBowlers remains in 5th place, while GRRR remains in 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Team 5 hung out with Top Guns. Even though highlighted by the skills of David Codding with his above-average 500 series, Team 5 accomplished only 1 win against Top Guns. In the meantime, Pat Searcy mastered Top Guns with his above-average 582 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Team 5 remains in 3rd place, while Top Guns remain in 2nd.

Bowlers sneaking into The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (201), Ken M. Wilson (204), and Pat Searcy (214,202)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Nik Domann (495, previous best 494).

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 17&18, 1st-place Pop Gunns will tussle with 2nd-place Top Guns (hcp 37). Pop Gunns are expected to see their averages fall off a cliff as they get swept; while Top Guns are forecast to see their team average take a dive even though they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Team 5 will compete against 4th-place Team 6 (hcp 29). Team 5 might see a pretty significant "market correction" to their averages as they get swept; while Team 6 ought to see their team average take a dive even though they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 21&22, 5th-place UnaBowlers will challenge 6th-place GRRR (hcp 73). The UnaBowlers are predicted to drop their averages like a brick as they get swept; while GRRR is anticipated to drop their average a bit even as they rack up a sweep.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
