The eleventh week of Fall 2002 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (165) and series (466) for the women. As for the men, Corey Weinfurt snagged this week's high game with a 192, and high series was earned by Dennis Laube with a 548. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 17 & 18: GRRR celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Pop Gunns. Although blessed by Sharon Turner with her above-average 433 series, GRRR accomplished only 1 win against Pop Gunns. Conversely, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Dennis Laube called the shots for Pop Gunns with his phenomenal 548 as his team took the series with 3 wins. GRRR remains in 6th place, while Pop Gunns remain in 2nd.
On lanes 19 & 20: Team 6 couldn't stop inappropriately groping Team 5. Topped by Jim Jones with his thrilling 500 series, Team 6 celebrated a clean sweep over Team 5. On the adjacent lane, David Parre ruled Team 5 with his below-average 451 despite his team getting swept. Team 6 remains in 4th place, while Team 5 plunges 2 spots to 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: UnaBowlers shared a few beers with Top Guns. Regardless of the star power of Corey Weinfurt with his above-average 472 series, the UnaBowlers got swept by Top Guns. Concurrently, Bob Brunker oversaw Top Guns with his 489 as they swept the competition. UnaBowlers remains in 5th place, while Top Guns jump 2 spots to 1st.
Bowlers bribing their way into The 200 Club include: No one at all. We sucked.

New
personal best series were rolled tonight by Dennis Laube (548, previous best 521) and
Tracey Robertson (385, previous best 372).

NEXT WEEK: - First, on lanes 17&18, 4th-place Team 6 will challenge 1st-place Top Guns. Team 6 is expected to watch their averages take a plunge, but split the series with Top Guns; while Top Guns are forecast to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
- Moving to lanes 19&20, 2nd-place Pop Gunns (hcp 400) will match wits with 5th-place UnaBowlers. Pop Gunns might have their averages plummet as they get swept; while the UnaBowlers ought to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Finally, on lanes 21&22, 6th-place GRRR will hang out with 3rd-place Team 5. GRRR is predicted to tank their averages considerably, but split the series with Team 5; while Team 5 is anticipated to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
