Fall 2002 Week 9 Robo-RecapA stagnated ninth week of Fall 2002 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. One bowler set a new personal best series. Sharon Turner picked up this week's high game (175) and series (504) for the women. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson snagged this week's high game with a 211, and high series was earned by Bill Krejci with a 591. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Team 6 chucked gutter balls with Pop Gunns. Though featuring Nik Domann with his spectacular 493 series, Team 6 got swept by Pop Gunns. In the midst of this, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Bill Krejci mastered Pop Gunns with his miraculous 591 as they swept the competition. Team 6 remains in 4th place, while Pop Gunns remain in 3rd.

This was done rather often this week by people we wouldn't normally expect. On lanes 19 & 20: UnaBowlers waged a heated competition against GRRR. With the strength of Justin Strelow with his 446 series, the UnaBowlers split the series with GRRR. In the meantime, Sharon Turner called the shots for GRRR with her wondrous 504 as they matched their opponent in wins. UnaBowlers remains in 5th place, while GRRR remains in 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Team 5 shared a few beers with Top Guns. With top billing by David Parre with his 491 series, Team 5 collected 3 wins against Top Guns. Simultaneously, Bob Brunker commanded Top Guns with his 530 despite his team notching only a single win. Team 5 remains in 2nd place, while Top Guns remain in 1st.

Bowlers slipping under the velvet rope in front of The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (200,202), Bob Brunker (210), Carl Goetz (202), and Ken M. Wilson (211,200)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Bill Krejci (591, previous best 585).

The 504 rolled by Sharon Turner is the new 9th-best women's series in league history!
The 591 rolled by Bill Krejci is tied for the 5th-best men's series in league history!

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 17&18, 5th-place UnaBowlers will meet with 2nd-place Team 5. The UnaBowlers are expected to see a pretty significant "market correction" to their averages, but split the series with Team 5; while Team 5 is forecast to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
  • Moving to lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Pop Gunns will chuck some balls with 1st-place Top Guns. Pop Gunns might watch their averages take a plunge, but split the series with Top Guns; while Top Guns ought to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 21&22, 6th-place GRRR will compete against 4th-place Team 6. GRRR is predicted to tank their averages considerably, but split the series with Team 6; while Team 6 is anticipated to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
