The fourteenth week of Fall 2003 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Three bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (183) and series (485) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (247) and series (654) for the men. First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Wolverines shared a few beers with Anchors Aweigh!. Although topped by Dennis Laube with his 438 series, the Wolverines got swept by the Anchors. Conversely, Most Valuable Bowler Ken M. Wilson laid down the law in the Anchors with his dramatic 654 as they swept the competition. Wolverines drop 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while the Anchors remain in 1st.
On lanes 17 & 18: Theee Beeelt sparred with Atomic Goo. Demonstrating the prowess of #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Aaron Weidner and his amazing 641 series, Theee Beeelt celebrated a clean sweep over Atomic Goo. Concurrently, Steve Robinson ruled Atomic Goo with his 431 despite his team getting swept. Theee Beeelt leaps 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Atomic Goo sinks 1 spot to 8th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Bowl me Ishmael! shared a platter of cheese sticks with Spare Change. Though featuring Michael Basham with his 407 series, Ishmael got swept by Spare Change. Across the ball return, Demond Robinson called the shots for Spare Change with his staggering 639 as they swept the competition. Bowl me Ishmael! remains in 3rd place, while Spare Change moves 1 spot to 7th.
Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Gutter Minds celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Bowlers of Mass Confusion. Although blessed by Pat Searcy with his 573 series, Gutter Minds accomplished only 1 win against Mass Confusion. As for the opposition, Jason Carpio showed off in Mass Confusion with his above-average 550 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Gutter Minds remains in 6th place, while Mass Confusion remains in 2nd.

New personal high games were set tonight by Ken M. Wilson (247, previous best 237) and Aaron Weidner (230, previous best 201). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Ken M. Wilson (654, previous best 631), Demond Robinson (639, previous best 607), and Aaron Weidner (641, previous best 531). Adding to the excitement, the 654 rolled by Ken M. Wilson is this season's new high series for men.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson rolled his ass to the top of Division 1, while Aaron Weidner won Division 2. Seth Gunderson dominated Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Marca Robinson came closest). In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz holds the reins in Division 1; Pat Searcy governs Division 2; Seth Gunderson reigns over Division 3; and Dennis Pruitt calls the shots for Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 15&16, 3rd-place Bowl me Ishmael! (hcp 102) will share a couple of pitchers with 6th-place Gutter Minds. Ishmael is expected to perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while Gutter Minds are forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Moving to lanes 17&18, 2nd-place Bowlers of Mass Confusion will socialize with 7th-place Spare Change. Mass Confusion might perform well and win the series; while Spare Change ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 19&20, 4th-place Theee Beeelt (hcp 85) will face 1st-place Anchors Aweigh!. Theee Beeelt will likely roll decently, but split the series with the Anchors; while the Anchors will probably hold steady as they keep the series tied.
- Finally, on lanes 21&22, 5th-place Wolverines will test their mettle against 8th-place Atomic Goo (estimated hcp 35). The Wolverines are predicted to perform well and win the series; while Atomic Goo is anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
