Fall 2003 Week 14 Robo-RecapThe fourteenth week of Fall 2003 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Three bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (183) and series (485) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (247) and series (654) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Wolverines chucked gutter balls with Anchors Aweigh!. Even though highlighted by the skills of Dennis Laube with his 438 series, the Wolverines got swept by the Anchors. On the other half of the score sheet, Most Valuable Bowler Ken M. Wilson shined in the Anchors with his commanding 654 as they swept the competition. Wolverines drop 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while the Anchors remain in 1st.

An irritated Kody waits for Russell to bowl.On lanes 17 & 18: Theee Beeelt tussled with Atomic Goo. Headlined by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Aaron Weidner and his powerful 641 series, Theee Beeelt celebrated a clean sweep over Atomic Goo. On the flipside, Steve Robinson reigned supreme in Atomic Goo with his 431 despite his team getting swept. Theee Beeelt leaps 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Atomic Goo sinks 1 spot to 8th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Bowl me Ishmael! shared a few beers with Spare Change. Although blessed by Michael Basham with his 407 series, Ishmael got swept by Spare Change. As for the opposition, Demond Robinson commanded Spare Change with his miraculous 639 as they swept the competition. Bowl me Ishmael! remains in 3rd place, while Spare Change moves 1 spot to 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Gutter Minds hung out with Bowlers of Mass Confusion. Notwithstanding the leadership of Pat Searcy with his 573 series, Gutter Minds accomplished only 1 win against Mass Confusion. Conversely, Jason Carpio oversaw Mass Confusion with his above-average 550 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Gutter Minds remains in 6th place, while Mass Confusion remains in 2nd.

Bowlers slipping under the velvet rope in front of The 200 Club include: Aaron Weidner (230,222), Demond Robinson (228,217), Ken M. Wilson (247,221), and Pat Searcy (206,208)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson swept Division 1, while Aaron Weidner triumphed over his enemies in Division 2. Seth Gunderson cleaned up Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Marca Robinson came closest). In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz leads Division 1; Pat Searcy holds the reins in Division 2; Seth Gunderson is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Dennis Pruitt runs the show in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 15&16, 3rd-place Bowl me Ishmael! (hcp 102) will match wits with 6th-place Gutter Minds. Ishmael is expected to perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while Gutter Minds are forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 2nd-place Bowlers of Mass Confusion will share a couple of pitchers with 7th-place Spare Change. Mass Confusion might perform well and win the series; while Spare Change ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 19&20, 4th-place Theee Beeelt (hcp 85) will compete against 1st-place Anchors Aweigh!. Theee Beeelt will likely roll decently, but split the series with the Anchors; while the Anchors will probably hold steady as they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 21&22, 5th-place Wolverines will chuck some balls with 8th-place Atomic Goo (estimated hcp 35). The Wolverines are predicted to perform well and win the series; while Atomic Goo is anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
