The fourth week of Fall 2006 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (167) and series (445) for the women, while David Codding earned this week's high game (267) and series (632) for the men. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions also kicked off tonight, beginning of 13 weeks of one-on-one bowling excitement! Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 15 & 16: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter kept stealing sips of beer from New Balls, Old Rack. Regardless of the star power of Ryan Doll with his below-average 451 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Scott Murdock, Not Gutter accomplished only 1 win against the Old Rack. In the midst of this, Bob Brunker reigned supreme in the Old Rack with his 574 as his team took the series with 3 wins. I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter remains in 5th place, while the Old Rack remains in 3rd.
On lanes 17 & 18: Frickin' Ten Pins entered a showdown to the death with Hez-Bowl-lah. Though reinforced by Carl Goetz with his below-average 471 series, Frickin' Ten Pins accomplished only 1 win against Hez-Bowl-lah. Countering this, Pete Forster mastered Hez-Bowl-lah with his 554 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Frickin' Ten Pins remains in 7th place, while Hez-Bowl-lah remains in 4th.
On lanes 19 & 20: All Belts Are Off accepted a challenge by Manute Bowl. Headlined by David Codding with his 632 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Scott Murdock, the Belt collected 3 wins against Manute Bowl. Simultaneously, Andy McLeod ruled Manute Bowl with his above-average 408 despite his team notching only a single win. All Belts Are Off remains in 1st place, while Manute Bowl remains in 8th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Bowlkake2 kept grabbing the balls of TBD. Notwithstanding the leadership of Thomas Lin with his 557 series, Bowlkake2 accomplished only 1 win against TBD. While that was going down, David Parre dominated TBD with his above-average 486 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlkake2 remains in 6th place, while TBD moves 1 spot to 9th.
Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Split Happens traded lane malfunctions with Guttersluts. With the strength of Nick Allegri with his 519 series, Split Happens collected 3 wins against the Guttersluts. On the other half of the score sheet, Andrea DeLong guided the Guttersluts with her below-average 332 despite her team notching only a single win. Split Happens remains in 2nd place, while the Guttersluts sink 1 spot to 10th.
Bowlers rolling into The 200 Club include: Bob Brunker (232), David Codding (267), Pat Searcy (201), Pete Forster (202), and Seth Gunderson (208)

Adding to the excitement, the 267 rolled by David Codding is this season's new high game for men.
The 267 rolled by David Codding is tied for the 5th-best game in league history!
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nick Allegri cleaned up Division 1, while Rich DeYoung had his way with Division 2. Scott Murdock vanquished Division 3, and Andy McLeod dominated Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about this bracket as it was a complete embarassment. In terms of overall points: Nick Allegri runs the show in Division 1; Rich DeYoung holds the reins in Division 2; Scott Murdock is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Andy McLeod reigns over Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 15&16, 2nd-place Split Happens will challenge 8th-place Manute Bowl (hcp 47). Split Happens are expected to perform well and win the series; while Manute Bowl is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
- Moving to lanes 17&18, 9th-place TBD will test their mettle against 10th-place Guttersluts (hcp 68). TBD might maintain their current strength as they just barely miss sweeping the series; while the Guttersluts ought to hold steady as they just barely avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 19&20, 6th-place Bowlkake2 will chill with 4th-place Hez-Bowl-lah (hcp 15). Bowlkake2 will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Hez-Bowl-lah will probably raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Next up, on lanes 21&22, 1st-place All Belts Are Off will tussle with 3rd-place New Balls, Old Rack (hcp 24). The Belt might maintain their current strength as they and split the series with the Old Rack; while the Old Rack ought to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
- Finally, on lanes 23&24, 7th-place Frickin' Ten Pins will roll against 5th-place I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter (hcp 81). Frickin' Ten Pins are predicted to perform well and just barely miss sweeping the series; while Not Gutter is anticipated to raise their average even as they just barely avoid getting swept.
