The Fall 2007 position round is now history, and and the championship will be on us before we know it! The tenth week saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (182) and series (512) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (227) and series (633) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Seefeldt the Glasscock took turns kicking the ball return with Dios Mios. With top billing by Don Glasscock with his below-average 596 series, the Glasscock split the series with Dios Mios. While that was going down, Steve Kiernan showed off in Dios Mios with his 539 as they matched their opponent in wins. Seefeldt the Glasscock remains in 1st place, while Dios Mios remain in 2nd.
On lanes 21 & 22: Bad Newz Kennels couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Cannonbelt Run. Though featuring Freda Schroeder with her above-average 512 series, the Kennels accomplished only 1 win against Cannonbelt. On the adjacent lane, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Nik Domann laid down the law in Cannonbelt with his staggering 630 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bad Newz Kennels plummet 2 spots in the standings to 5th place, while Cannonbelt moves 1 spot to 3rd.
On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, I Don't Know alternated between bowling and dry humping Split Happens. Led by Cory Chorpenning with his above-average 633 series, I Don't Know collected 3 wins against Split Happens. In the meantime, Nick Allegri mastered Split Happens with his below-average 469 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, I Don't Know leaps 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Split Happens remain in 6th.
On lanes 25 & 26: The GameCox shared a few beers with Ebowla. Highlighting the skills of Jason Carpio with his 499 series, the GameCox split the series with Ebowla. On the other half of the score sheet, Travis Kleiner took the lead in Ebowla with his above-average 450 as they matched their opponent in wins. The GameCox remains in 7th place, while Ebowla remains in 8th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Your Mom shared a platter of cheese sticks with Seriously Handicapped. Despite the strength of Ryan Doll with his 552 series, Your Mom accomplished only 1 win against the Handicapped. Simultaneously, Tyler Hilker drew the spotlight in the Handicapped with his 526 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Amy Goodnow) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Your Mom remains in 9th place, while the Handicapped remains in 10th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Nik Domann (630, previous best 577).
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Cory Chorpenning clobbered Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Tyler Hilker came closest). Dennis Laube topped Division 3, and Ryan Simonet walloped Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Tyler Hilker (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Duncan Ferber tops Division 1; Nik Domann runs the show in Division 2; Dennis Laube and David Parre govern Division 3 in a tie; and Travis Kleiner calls the shots for Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 3&4, 2nd-place Dios Mios will roll against 9th-place Your Mom (hcp 72). Dios Mios are expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Your Mom is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
- Moving to lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Cannonbelt Run (hcp 33) will match wits with 5th-place Bad Newz Kennels. Cannonbelt might perform well and win the series; while the Kennels ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 10th-place Seriously Handicapped (hcp 208) will battle 1st-place Seefeldt the Glasscock. The Handicapped will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while the Glasscock will probably drop their average a bit even as they rack up a sweep.
- Next up, on lanes 25&26, 8th-place Ebowla (hcp 160) will test their mettle against 4th-place Sh!t, I Don't Know. Ebowla might perform well, but split the series with I Don't Know; while I Don't Know ought to drop their average a bit while they keep the series tied.
- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 6th-place Split Happens will throw some gutter balls with 7th-place The GameCox (hcp 8). Split Happens are predicted to perform well and just barely win the series; while the GameCox is anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
