By now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Fall 2008 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. The ninth week saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (188) and series (461) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (254) and series (681) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: WWJB celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Bowl Movement. In spite of top-billing by Eric Summers with his 334 series, WWJB got swept by Bowl Movement. On the adjacent lane, Patty Morrisey called the shots for Bowl Movement with her above-average 366 as they swept the competition. WWJB drops 1 spot in the standings to 10th place, while Bowl Movement jumps 2 spots to 4th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Ain't No Sh!t spent some quality time with Livin' On A Spare. Blessed by Cory Chorpenning with his above-average 681 series, Ain't No Sh!t celebrated a clean sweep over Livin' On A Spare. In the midst of this, Lindsay Jamis ruled Livin' On A Spare with her staggering 401 despite her team getting swept. Ain't No Sh!t remains in 1st place, while Livin' On A Spare sinks 1 spot to 8th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Dave and the Wingers accepted a challenge by Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty. Simultaneously, Will Jeter dominated Spare The Rod with his 476 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Dave and the Wingers leap 1 spot in the standings to 9th place, while Spare The Rod remains in 5th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Bad Newz Kennels had a rendezvous with Is This Billable?. Despite being led by #1 Head-to-Head Dennis Laube and his amazing 564 series, the Kennels got swept by Is This Billable?. On the other side, Ryan Doll commanded Is This Billable? with his above-average 609 (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Ben Wetteborn) as they swept the competition. Wilson with his astounding 633 series, Chico's accomplished only 1 win against Dios Mios. Concurrently, Bill Krejci laid down the law in Dios Mios with his 549 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Lefty John Boren) as his team took the series with 3 wins. NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place Ain't No Sh!t will chill with 2nd-place Chico's Bail Bonds (hcp 89). Ain't No Sh!t is expected to have their averages plummet as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Chico's are forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 3rd-place Dios Mios will share a couple of pitchers with 4th-place Bowl Movement (hcp 56). Dios Mios might maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Bowl Movement ought to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty (hcp 67) will challenge 6th-place Bad Newz Kennels. Spare The Rod will likely roll decently, yet still manage to get swept; while the Kennels will probably raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Next up, on lanes 25&26, 7th-place Is This Billable? will battle 8th-place Livin' On A Spare (hcp 75). Is This Billable? might maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Livin' On A Spare; while Livin' On A Spare ought to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 9th-place Dave and the Wingers will socialize with 10th-place WWJB (hcp 13). The Wingers are predicted to perform well, but split the series with WWJB; while WWJB is anticipated to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
