The Fall 2007 season draws to a close, with Sh!t, I Don't Know officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Janelle (Laube) Lamar landed this week's high game for the women with a 180, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 470. As for the men, Don Glasscock earned this week's high game (239) and series (683). Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Sh!t, I Don't Know sparred with Bad Newz Kennels. Demonstrating the prowess of Cory Chorpenning with his 570 series, I Don't Know collected 3 wins against the Kennels. In the midst of this, Carl Goetz mastered the Kennels with his 526 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, I Don't Know end the season in 1st place, while the Kennels go home with 2nd.
On lanes 21 & 22: Seefeldt the Glasscock celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Dios Mios. Headlined by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Don Glasscock and his 683 series, the Glasscock collected 3 wins against Dios Mios. Countering this, Bill Krejci drew the spotlight in Dios Mios with his below-average 525 despite his team notching only a single win. Seefeldt the Glasscock close out in 3rd place, while Dios Mios wind up in 4th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Cannonbelt Run kept grabbing the balls of Split Happens. Topped by Seth Gunderson with his 495 series, Cannonbelt celebrated a clean sweep over Split Happens. . With Split Happens forfeiting, all Cannonbelt needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. Cannonbelt Run complete in 5th place, while Split Happens come out in 6th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Ebowla spent a romantic evening with The GameCox. Though featuring Travis Kleiner with his 415 series, Ebowla got swept by the GameCox. While that was going down, Jason Carpio commanded the GameCox with his 485 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Janelle Laube) as they swept the competition. Ebowla plummets 2 spots in the standings to end in 9th place, while the GameCox jumps 2 spots to end up with 7th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Your Mom entered a showdown to the death with Seriously Handicapped. Starring Ryan Doll with his 560 series, Your Mom collected 3 wins against the Handicapped. Concurrently, Tyler Hilker dominated the Handicapped with his 528 despite his team notching only a single win. Your Mom 8th place, while the Handicapped 10th.
Bowlers bribing their way into The 200 Club include: Cory Chorpenning (206), David Parre (219), and Don Glasscock (228,216,239)
After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Tyler Hilker (Division 2),
with Cory Chorpenning (Division 1) landing in second place. Tyler will pocket the nice first-place pot,
while Cory will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!
