The ninth week of Fall 2005 saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (158) and series (448) for the women, while Carl Goetz earned this week's high game (237) and series (605) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 21 & 22: The Big LeBowlskies entered a showdown to the death with Derka, Derka. Showcasing Dennis Laube with his above-average 561 series, The Big LeBowlskies celebrated a clean sweep over Derka, Derka. In the midst of this, Thomas Lin took the lead in Derka, Derka with his below-average 476 despite his team getting swept. The Big LeBowlskies leap 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Derka, Derka plunges 2 spots to 5th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Munson'd had some one-on-one time with Harry Potter and the Magic Balls. In spite of the prowess of Brian Henderson with his 373 series, Munson'd accomplished only 1 win against Harry Potter. On the adjacent lane, Jason Caton ruled Harry Potter with his above-average 420 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Munson'd remains in 8th place, while Harry Potter remains in 7th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Tatonka shared a platter of cheese sticks with Bora Bora!. Though reinforced by Joel Henning with his above-average 389 series, Tatonka got swept by Bora Bora!. On the other half of the score sheet, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) John Richardson commanded Bora Bora! with his commanding 480 as they swept the competition. Tatonka remains in 1st place, while Bora Bora! moves 1 spot to 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Same Belt, New Notch tussled with Three Men and a Babe. With the strength of Carl Goetz with his above-average 605 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against Three Men and a Babe. On the flipside, Ken M. Wilson guided Three Men and a Babe with his 533 despite his team notching only a single win. Same Belt, New Notch remains in 2nd place, while Three Men and a Babe remains in 6th.
Bowlers who lied to their significant other claiming bowling was running long then went out for after-bowling drinks at The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (237), David Codding (212), Demond Robinson (202,202), Dennis Laube (200), and Ken M. Wilson (201)
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Demond Robinson shut down Division 1, while Jason Carpio walloped Division 2. Brian Henderson creamed Division 3, and John Richardson cleaned up Division 4. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson reigns over Division 1; Seth Gunderson governs Division 2; Phil Schroeder holds the reins in Division 3; and Andrea DeLong dominates Division 4.

- First, on lanes 21&22, 6th-place Three Men and a Babe will throw some gutter balls with 3rd-place Bora Bora! (hcp 92). Three Men and a Babe is expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Bora Bora! is forecast to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.

Derka, Derka is predicted to maintain their current strength as they just barely miss sweeping the series; while Harry Potter is anticipated to hold steady as they just barely avoid getting swept.
