The Spring 2005 season is now underway, with eight teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. One bowler set a new personal best series. Deena Slinkard landed this week's high game for the women with a 170, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 463. As for the men, Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (214) and series (578). Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: All Belt, No Buckle spent some quality time with Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Starring Demond Robinson with his 512 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against Nellielocks. On the other side, Dennis Laube showed off in Nellielocks with his 503 despite his team notching only a single win. All Belt, No Buckle gets underway in 1st place, while Nellielocks start off with 6th.

On lanes 21 & 22: 4 Play kept stealing sips of beer from Bowlingstar Galactica. Headlined by Pat Searcy with his 578 series, 4 Play split the series with the Galactica. On the flipside, #1 Head-to-Head Eric Lynch laid down the law in the Galactica with his terrific 560 as they matched their opponent in wins. 4 Play begins with 4th place, while the Galactica begins in 5th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Handicrappers entered a showdown to the death with The Incredibowls. Notwithstanding the leadership of Bill Krejci with his 523 series, Handicrappers accomplished only 1 win against The Incredibowls. On the adjacent lane, Carl Goetz ruled The Incredibowls with his 512 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Handicrappers begins the season in 7th place, while The Incredibowls get going with 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Sub Parre sparred with Big Pin Pin. Though featuring David Parre with his 430 series, Sub Parre accomplished only 1 win against Pin Pin. Across the ball return, #1 Power-Ranked Mitch Wheeler drew the spotlight in Pin Pin with his 565 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Sub Parre leaves the gate in 8th place, while Pin Pin commences the season with 3rd.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Kris Hiestand (371, previous best 362).
