By now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Spring 2010 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. The seventh week saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (191) and series (534) for the women. As for the men, Ryan Doll snagged this week's high game with a 252, and high series was earned by Bob Brunker with a 622. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 25 & 26: Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz faced off against Lil' Devils. Starring #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Bob Brunker and his splendid 622 series, the Schlitz celebrated a clean sweep over Lil' Devils. Simultaneously, Janelle (Laube) Lamar reigned supreme in Lil' Devils with her 380 despite her team getting swept. Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz remains in 3rd place, while Lil' Devils plunge 2 spots to 7th.
On lanes 27 & 28: Little Lebowski Urban Achievers took turns kicking the ball return with Empire Strikes Back. Notwithstanding the leadership of Sarah Sauer with her 426 series, the Urban Achievers got swept by the Empire. In the meantime, Carl Goetz drew the spotlight in the Empire with his 593 as they swept the competition. Little Lebowski Urban Achievers drop 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while the Empire remains in 4th.
On lanes 29 & 30: The Prak Attack shared a platter of cheese sticks with 3 Pin Moon. With top billing by Most Valuable Bowler Bill Riley and his amazing 429 series, the Attack collected 3 wins against 3 Pin Moon. Countering this, Ryan Doll commanded 3 Pin Moon with his above-average 603 despite his team notching only a single win. The Prak Attack leaps 3 spots in the standings to 5th place, while 3 Pin Moon sinks 1 spot to 2nd.
Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: No Pinheads had a delightful time with Bowlumpkin. Reinforced by Freda Schroeder with her 534 series, the Pinheads missed a clean sweep over Bowlumpkin by just one pin.On the adjacent lane, Dave Winger shined in Bowlumpkin with his phenomenal 513 as his team missed getting swept by just one pin. No Pinheads leap 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while Bowlumpkin remains in 6th.

A new personal high game was set tonight by Dave Winger (192, previous best 189). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Bob Brunker (622, previous best 616) and Dave Winger (513, previous best 512). Adding to the excitement, the 252 rolled by Ryan Doll is this season's new high game for men.
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Bob Brunker routed Division 1, while Scott Murdock vanquished Division 2. Dave Winger creamed Division 3, and Lawrence Prak conquered Division 4. In terms of overall points: Bob Brunker is in the driver's seat in Division 1; Scott Murdock calls the shots for Division 2; Greg Shelton reigns over Division 3; and Bill Riley leads Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 25&26, 1st-place No Pinheads will chill with 2nd-place 3 Pin Moon (hcp 6). The Pinheads are expected to roll a little low and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while 3 Pin Moon is forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
- Moving to lanes 27&28, 3rd-place Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz (hcp 56) will share a couple of pitchers with 4th-place Empire Strikes Back. The Schlitz might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Empire ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Then, over on lanes 29&30, 5th-place The Prak Attack (hcp 34) will roll against 6th-place Bowlumpkin. The Attack will likely roll decently, yet still manage to get swept; while Bowlumpkin will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Finally, on lanes 31&32, 7th-place Lil' Devils will match wits with 8th-place Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (hcp 8). Lil' Devils are predicted to perform well and win the series; while the Urban Achievers are anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
