The Fall 2008 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Andrea Caudillo picked up this week's high game (182) and series (494) for the women. As for the men, Ryan Doll snagged this week's high game with a 232, and high series was earned by Kendall Kukowski with a 583. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Bad Newz Kennels matched wits with Ain't No Sh!t. With top billing by Dennis Laube with his 482 series, the Kennels split the series with Ain't No Sh!t. Meanwhile, #1 Head-to-Head Kendall Kukowski oversaw Ain't No Sh!t with his fantastic 583 (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Duncan Ferber) as they matched their opponent in wins. Bad Newz Kennels begins with 5th place, while Ain't No Sh!t starts off with 4th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Chico's Bail Bonds entered a showdown to the death with Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty. Starring Ken M. Wilson with his 554 series, Chico's collected 3 wins against Spare The Rod. Across the ball return, Will Jeter took the lead in Spare The Rod with his staggering 528 despite his team notching only a single win. Chico's Bail Bonds begins the season in 1st place, while Spare The Rod begins in 8th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Livin' On A Spare deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Dios Mios. Though reinforced by Tom Finley with his 344 series, Livin' On A Spare accomplished only 1 win against Dios Mios. On the other side, Bill Krejci laid down the law in Dios Mios with his 482 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Livin' On A Spare gets underway in 10th place, while Dios Mios get going with 2nd.
On lanes 25 & 26: Is This Billable? did battle with WWJB. Topped by Ryan Doll with his 524 series, Is This Billable? split the series with WWJB. In the midst of this, Justin Wehrman called the shots for WWJB with his 446 as they matched their opponent in wins. Is This Billable? starts out in 6th place, while WWJB gets rolling in 7th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Dave and the Wingers accepted a challenge by Bowl Movement. While headlined by Rob Kaszuba with his 370 series, the Wingers accomplished only 1 win against Bowl Movement. On the other half of the score sheet, Carter Collins guided Bowl Movement with his 366 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Patty Morrisey) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Dave and the Wingers 9th place, while Bowl Movement 3rd.
