Fall 2006 Week 15 Robo-RecapThe fifteenth week of Fall 2006 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Angela Bradford landed this week's high game for the women with a 198, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 485. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (238) and series (655).Meanwhile, Tournament of Champions is officially down to its final eight bowlers, who will face each other next week competing for two cash prizes! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Guttersluts entered a showdown to the death with TBD. Topped by John Boren with his 551 series, the Guttersluts collected 3 wins against TBD. Conversely, David Parre reigned supreme in TBD with his 470 despite his team notching only a single win. Guttersluts remains in 10th place, while TBD remains in 7th.

week15On lanes 17 & 18: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Frickin' Ten Pins. Reinforced by Ryan Doll with his above-average 525 series, Not Gutter celebrated a clean sweep over Frickin' Ten Pins. On the flipside, Carl Goetz dominated Frickin' Ten Pins with his above-average 588 despite his team getting swept. I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter leaps 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while Frickin' Ten Pins remain in 6th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Manute Bowl took turns kicking the ball return with Split Happens. Even though highlighted by the skills of Andy McLeod with his powerful 519 series, Manute Bowl got swept by Split Happens. Simultaneously, Most Valuable Bowler Amy Logan shined in Split Happens with her marvelous 433 as they swept the competition. Manute Bowl drops 1 spot in the standings to 9th place, while Split Happens move 1 spot to 3rd.

On lanes 21 & 22: Hez-Bowl-lah had a rendezvous with Bowlkake2. Although blessed by Rich DeYoung with his above-average 535 series, Hez-Bowl-lah accomplished only 1 win against Bowlkake2. While that was going down, Thomas Lin ruled Bowlkake2 with his 566 (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Dave Hickerson) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Hez-Bowl-lah remains in 1st place, while Bowlkake2 remains in 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: New Balls, Old Rack couldn't stop inappropriately groping All Belts Are Off. Showcasing #1 Head-to-Head Ken M. Wilson and his spectacular 655 series, the Old Rack split the series with the Belt. Concurrently, Seth Gunderson showed off in the Belt with his outstanding 545 as they matched their opponent in wins. New Balls, Old Rack drops 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while the Belt remains in 5th.

Bowlers who stripped naked and shared a cozy hottub together in a back room at The 200 Club include: Bob Brunker (208), Carl Goetz (204,213), John Boren (211), Ken M. Wilson (209,238,208), Scott Murdock (211), Seth Gunderson (211), and Thomas Lin (206)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Amy Logan (177, previous best 172). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Amy Logan (433, previous best 429).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson walloped Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Rich DeYoung came closest). Scott Murdock crushed Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Nick Crofoot came closest). Finally, Seth Gunderson (Division 2) conquered this week's Interdivisional bracket. Finally, Andy McLeod (Division 4) conquered this week's Interdivisional bracket. Congratulations to our division champions! The following eight people will compete next week for the big prize!

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 15&16, 1st-place Hez-Bowl-lah (hcp 15) will compete against 2nd-place Bowlkake2. Hez-Bowl-lah is expected to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Bowlkake2 is forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 3rd-place Split Happens (hcp 63) will share a couple of pitchers with 4th-place New Balls, Old Rack. Split Happens might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Old Rack ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 19&20, 5th-place All Belts Are Off will spend some quality time with 6th-place Frickin' Ten Pins (hcp 38). The Belt will likely roll decently, but split the series with Frickin' Ten Pins; while Frickin' Ten Pins will probably raise their average while they keep the series tied.
  • Next up, on lanes 21&22, 7th-place TBD will throw some gutter balls with 8th-place I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter (hcp 25). TBD might perform well and win the series; while Not Gutter ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 23&24, 9th-place Manute Bowl will chuck some balls with 10th-place Guttersluts (hcp 71). Manute Bowl is predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while the Guttersluts are anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
