The Fall 2005 position round is now history, and and the championship will be on us before we know it! The eighth week saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (180) and series (484) for the women. As for the men, David Parre snagged this week's high game with a 248, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 573. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Tatonka matched wits with Derka, Derka. Showcasing Will Jeter with his below-average 446 series, Tatonka collected 3 wins against Derka, Derka. On the flipside, Thomas Lin shined in Derka, Derka with his 498 despite his team notching only a single win. Tatonka remains in 1st place, while Derka, Derka sinks 1 spot to 3rd.
On lanes 23 & 24: Same Belt, New Notch shared a platter of cheese sticks with The Big LeBowlskies. With the strength of Carl Goetz with his above-average 573 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against The Big LeBowlskies. Countering this, Dennis Laube ruled The Big LeBowlskies with his 525 despite his team notching only a single win. Same Belt, New Notch leaps 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while The Big LeBowlskies sink 1 spot to 5th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Bora Bora! had some one-on-one time with Three Men and a Babe. Headlined by Freda Schroeder with her above-average 484 series, with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler , Bora Bora! split the series with Three Men and a Babe. In the midst of this, #1 Power-Ranked David Parre commanded Three Men and a Babe with his marvelous 570 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bora Bora! leaps 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Three Men and a Babe remains in 6th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Harry Potter and the Magic Balls traded lane malfunctions with Munson'd. Topped by Joel Henning with his above-average 372 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Kathryn Holt, Harry Potter split the series with Munson'd. On the other half of the score sheet, Mark Belles mastered Munson'd with his 377 as they matched their opponent in wins. Harry Potter and the Magic Balls remains in 7th place, while Munson'd remains in 8th.

A new personal high game was set tonight by David Parre (248, previous best 246). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by David Parre (570, previous best 549) and Brad Zollars (475, previous best 468). The 248 rolled by David Parre is tied for the 8th-best game in league history!
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Demond Robinson crushed Division 1, while Scott Murdock clobbered Division 2. Brad Zollars got the better of Division 3, and Andrea DeLong routed Division 4. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson governs Division 1; Seth Gunderson and Scott Murdock lead Division 2 in a tie; Phil Schroeder calls the shots for Division 3; and Andrea DeLong reigns over Division 4.
