Spring 2005 Week 2 Robo-RecapThe second week of Spring 2005 saw five teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Janelle (Laube) Lamar landed this week's high game for the women with a 182, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 498. As for the men, Eric Lynch snagged this week's high game with a 220, and high series was earned by Bob Brunker with a 586. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: The Incredibowls spent a romantic evening with Big Pin Pin. In spite of the prowess of Carl Goetz with his 522 series, The Incredibowls accomplished only 1 win against Pin Pin. Across the ball return, Mitch Wheeler shined in Pin Pin with his below-average 506 as his team took the series with 3 wins. The Incredibowls plummet 3 spots in the standings to 5th place, while Pin Pin jumps 2 spots to 1st.

week2On lanes 21 & 22: Handicrappers took turns kicking the ball return with Sub Parre. Highlighting the skills of Bill Krejci with his 526 series, Handicrappers split the series with Sub Parre. Concurrently, Andy Metzler drew the spotlight in Sub Parre with his 458 as they matched their opponent in wins. Handicrappers leap 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Sub Parre moves 1 spot to 7th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Nellielocks and the 3 Spares had some one-on-one time with Bowlingstar Galactica. Reinforced by Dennis Laube with his above-average 571 series, Nellielocks missed a clean sweep over the Galactica by just one pin.Meanwhile, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Corey Weinfurt guided the Galactica with his terrific 569 as his team missed getting swept by just one pin. Nellielocks and the 3 Spares leap 3 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while the Galactica plunges 3 spots to 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: All Belt, No Buckle kept stealing sips of beer from 4 Play. Though featuring Nik Domann with his above-average 505 series, the Belt accomplished only 1 win against 4 Play. While that was going down, Most Valuable Bowler Bob Brunker commanded 4 Play with his above-average 586 as his team took the series with 3 wins. All Belt, No Buckle plummets 3 spots in the standings to 4th place, while 4 Play jumps 2 spots to 2nd.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Rich DeYoung (541, previous best 539).

Janelle (Laube) Lamar earned this season's women's high game with her 182, and Angela Bradford claimed the season's women's high series with her 498. In addition, Eric Lynch nabbed this season's men's high game with his 220., while Bob Brunker bagged the season's men's high series with his 586.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 6th-place Handicrappers (hcp 116) will challenge 8th-place Bowlingstar Galactica. Handicrappers are expected to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with the Galactica; while the Galactica is forecast to drop their average a bit while keep the series tied.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 4th-place All Belt, No Buckle will share a couple of pitchers with 1st-place Big Pin Pin (hcp 46). The Belt might perform well and win the series; while Pin Pin ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 7th-place Sub Parre (hcp 132) will chuck some balls with 2nd-place 4 Play. Sub Parre will likely roll decently, but split the series with 4 Play; while 4 Play will probably hold steady as they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 3rd-place Nellielocks and the 3 Spares will spend some quality time with 5th-place The Incredibowls (hcp 43). Nellielocks are predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while The Incredibowls are anticipated to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.

Spring 2005 Week 1 Robo-RecapThe Spring 2005 season is now underway, with eight teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. One bowler set a new personal best series. Deena Slinkard landed this week's high game for the women with a 170, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 463. As for the men, Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (214) and series (578). Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: All Belt, No Buckle couldn't stop inappropriately groping Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Blessed by Demond Robinson with his 512 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against Nellielocks. Meanwhile, Dennis Laube took the lead in Nellielocks with his 503 despite his team notching only a single win. All Belt, No Buckle starts out in 1st place, while Nellielocks get going with 6th.

week1On lanes 21 & 22: 4 Play waged a heated competition against Bowlingstar Galactica. Reinforced by Pat Searcy with his 578 series, 4 Play split the series with the Galactica. While that was going down, #1 Head-to-Head Eric Lynch showed off in the Galactica with his miraculous 560 as they matched their opponent in wins. 4 Play leaves the gate in 4th place, while the Galactica gets rolling in 5th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Handicrappers accepted a challenge by The Incredibowls. Despite the strength of Bill Krejci with his 523 series, Handicrappers accomplished only 1 win against The Incredibowls. On the other half of the score sheet, Carl Goetz shined in The Incredibowls with his 512 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Handicrappers begins the season in 7th place, while The Incredibowls begin in 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Sub Parre entered a showdown to the death with Big Pin Pin. In spite of top-billing by David Parre with his 430 series, Sub Parre accomplished only 1 win against Pin Pin. In the meantime, #1 Power-Ranked Mitch Wheeler guided Pin Pin with his 565 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Sub Parre begins with 8th place, while Pin Pin starts off with 3rd.

Bowlers who stripped naked and shared a cozy hottub together in a back room at The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (210), Mitch Wheeler (211), and Pat Searcy (214)
