The thirteenth week of Fall 2002 saw one team climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (158) and series (436) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (227) and series (585) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Team 5 kept grabbing the balls of UnaBowlers. Despite being led by David Parre with his below-average 438 series, Team 5 accomplished only 1 win against the UnaBowlers. In the meantime, Justin Strelow laid down the law in the UnaBowlers with his 452 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Team 5 drops 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while the UnaBowlers remain in 5th.
On lanes 19 & 20: GRRR faced off against Team 6. Although blessed by Sharon Turner with her 396 series, GRRR got swept by Team 6. Across the ball return, Nik Domann mastered Team 6 with his above-average 461 as they swept the competition. GRRR remains in 6th place, while Team 6 remains in 4th.
Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Top Guns chucked gutter balls with Pop Gunns. Regardless of the star power of Pat Searcy with his 543 series, Top Guns accomplished only 1 win against Pop Gunns. On the other side, #1 Power-Ranked Ken M. Wilson dominated Pop Gunns with his above-average 585 (along with a major contribution by #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler Dennis Laube, as well as #1 Power Ranked Ken Wilson) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Top Guns drop 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Pop Gunns jump 2 spots to 1st.
Bowlers who stripped naked and shared a cozy hottub together in a back room at The 200 Club include: Ken M. Wilson (227) and Pat Searcy (201)
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 17&18, 3rd-place Top Guns will hang out with 6th-place GRRR. Top Guns are expected to have their averages plummet, but split the series with GRRR; while GRRR is forecast to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
- Moving to lanes 19&20, 2nd-place Team 5 will test their mettle against 1st-place Pop Gunns. Team 5 might see their averages fall off a cliff, but split the series with Pop Gunns; while Pop Gunns ought to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
- Finally, on lanes 21&22, 4th-place Team 6 will share a couple of pitchers with 5th-place UnaBowlers. Team 6 is predicted to have the bottom drop out of their averages, but split the series with the UnaBowlers; while the UnaBowlers are anticipated to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
