A listing (from most current to furthest back) of any write-up posts in which Lindsay has been mentioned:
- Close Shaves (Feb 24th, 2026) - The fifth week of Spring 2026 detonated like a confetti cannon fired by a clown in oversized bowling shoes: one team clawed their way up the standings ladder while another took a slippery slide down it, and the lanes themselves seemed to gasp between frames. Alotta Tenpin here, reporting from the little table with the Megatouch game, with a breaking update that JoAnne Barber lit the fuse for the women with this week’s high game (137) and high series (376), while the men went full blockbuster mode as Seth Gunderson launched a 224 for high game and Ben Spencer unfurled a mighty 572 for high series. If that sounds like a highlight reel, buckle up. The pins fell, the crowd leaned in, and destiny did that dramatic slow clap thing. Catch every twist, turn, and wobble… then check this week’s bingo results.
- Mardis Gras Birthday Hogs Keep First Despite Setbacks (Feb 17th, 2026) - Hi, I’m Alotta Tenpin, reporting live from the St. John’s snack bar in the aftermath of another night of Gutter Alley league action, and let me tell you, I have french fry grease on my notebook, marinara sauce in my hair, and even though I got Karlovačko splashed all over my favorite bright blue blazer while I interviewed the first team, forcing me to change outfits, I have absolutely zero regrets. The fourth week of Spring 2026 looked frozen on paper, but the lanes themselves threw on beads and refused to behave. One bowler rolled a new personal best game and I am fairly certain the snack bar fridge rattled in fear. JoAnne Barber calmly claimed the women’s high game (127) and high series (349), while Scott Murdock unleashed a 253 for the men’s high game, and Matthew Taylor stitched together a towering 615 to take the men’s high series. I briefly told someone this was the highest series in alley history (I found out later it is not, but it felt historic), and the Tournament of Champions officially roared to life for 13 weeks of one-on-one drama. The standings refused to budge, but the night itself danced straight into this week’s bingo results.
- Happy 100 200s, Kinney! (Feb 10th, 2026) - The third week of Spring 2026 blew the doors off the quiet part of the season, with three teams surging up the standings while two others slipped hard on the oil and into regret. Personal milestones fell like stubborn corner pins, and the building buzzed as Dennis Walling uncorked the men’s high game of 268 and high series of 608, while JoAnne Barber carved her name into the night with the women’s high game of 149 and high series of 419. With the Tournament of Champions divisions now locked and one-on-one chaos looming, the league officially crossed from polite competition into open drama. Every strike sounded louder, every spare felt heavier, and every missed pin came with a story attached. Read on for the night’s triumphs and tumbles, then finish the tour by checking this week’s bingo results.
- Bromances Tested as a Single Pin Shakes the Standings (Feb 3rd, 2026) - The second week of Spring 2026 did not politely tiptoe into the standings; it kicked the door in, tracked lane oil across the floor, and demanded attention. Two teams rode hot streaks straight up the leaderboard, while two others watched gravity do what gravity does best. JoAnne Barber was locked in, claiming this week’s high game (121) and high series (350) for the women, while Seth Gunderson went full inferno with the men’s high game (214) and series (573). Momentum shifted, averages wobbled, friendships were briefly tested, and in the end, a single, lonely pin quietly reshaped the entire standings. Read on for the drama, the heroics, the reconciliations, and then check out this week’s bingo results.
- Spring 2026 Has Launched (Jan 27th, 2026) - The Spring 2026 season has officially burst out of the gates, with six brave teams embarking on a 16-week quest for the coveted, glittering, and entirely nonexistent championship trophy. Fresh oil patterns, questionable spare shooting, and wildly optimistic preseason expectations collided immediately. Individual fireworks lit up the lanes right away, as JoAnne Barber claimed both the women’s high game (131) and high series (381). On the men’s side, Seth Gunderson uncorked a scorching 214 for high game, while Matthew Taylor flexed early dominance with a league-leading 566 series. The table is set, the nerves are jangling, and the season’s storylines are already taking shape.
- Spring 2026 Preview (Jan 19th, 2026) - Welcome to the Spring 2026 bowling season! We start bowling on January 27, same location and same time as usual. You can submit roster changes until Monday, January 26 and team names until noon Tuesday, August 27. This season things are shaken up a little more than they've normally, as five people who bowled with us last season are not returning this time.
