Spring 2009 Week 15 Robo-RecapA stagnated fifteenth week of Spring 2009 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and three rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (210) and series (499) for the women. As for the men, Rob Kaszuba snagged this week's high game with a 230, and high series was earned by Rich DeYoung with a 592. Meanwhile, Tournament of Champions is officially down to its final eight bowlers, who will face each other next week competing for two cash prizes! Read on for all the rest of the details!

As for the opposition, Sarah Sauer dominated Turkey Sandwich with her above-average 403 despite her team notching only a single win. Sh!t, Another Season remains in 5th place, while Turkey Sandwich remains in 7th.

week15On lanes 21 & 22: Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. Though featuring Ryan Housknecht with his above-average 427 series, Wonder Friends accomplished only 1 win against Schlitz. In the midst of this, Angela Bradford reigned supreme in Schlitz with her 499 as her team took the series with 3 wins. Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends remains in 9th place, while Schlitz remains in 1st.

On lanes 23 & 24: Rule 6B entered a showdown to the death with XXX. Showcasing #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Ryan Doll and his astounding 583 series, Rule 6B collected 3 wins against XXX. Across the ball return, Rich DeYoung took the lead in XXX with his phenomenal 592 despite his team notching only a single win. Rule 6B remains in 3rd place, while XXX remains in 10th.

On the other half of the score sheet, AJ Taylor guided WWJB with his dramatic 443 despite his team notching only a single win. Chico's Bail Bonds remains in 2nd place, while WWJB remains in 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: No Pinheads deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Chicks With Balls. Demonstrating the prowess of Most Valuable Bowler Dennis Laube and his spectacular 563 series, No Pinheads collected 3 wins against the Chicks. Conversely, Andrea Caudillo commanded the Chicks with her above-average 445 despite her team notching only a single win. No Pinheads remains in 4th place, while the Chicks remain in 8th.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about Division 1 as it was a complete embarassment, while Dennis Laube won Division 2. Janelle (Laube) Lamar trounced Division 3, and Ben Wetteborn triumphed over his enemies in Division 4. Finally, Ken M. Wilson (Division 1) decimated this week's Interdivisional bracket. Congratulations to our division champions! The following eight people will compete next week for the big prize! Division 1: Carl GoetzDivision 2: Dennis Laube and Phil Schroeder. Division 3: Adam MessnerDivision 4: Ryan Housknecht

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place Schlitz For Us, Splits For You (hcp 66) will socialize with 2nd-place Chico's Bail Bonds. Schlitz is expected to maintain their current strength as they just barely miss getting swept; while Chico's are forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 3rd-place Rule 6B (hcp 39) will throw some gutter balls with 4th-place No Pinheads. Rule 6B might maintain their current strength as they and split the series with No Pinheads; while No Pinheads ought to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place Sh!t, Another Season will face 6th-place WWJB (hcp 168). Another Season will likely have a bit of an off night, yet still manage to win the series; while WWJB will probably raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 7th-place Turkey Sandwich will compete against 8th-place Chicks With Balls (hcp 25). Turkey Sandwich might perform well and win the series; while the Chicks ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 9th-place Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends (hcp 8) will match wits with 10th-place XXX. Wonder Friends are predicted to perform well and win the series; while XXX is anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
