The eleventh week of Spring 2009 saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (164) and series (455) for the women. As for the men, Duncan Ferber snagged this week's high game with a 233, and high series was earned by Ken M. Wilson with a 608. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Chicks With Balls tussled with Chico's Bail Bonds. Despite being led by Janelle (Laube) Lamar with her above-average 439 series, the Chicks got swept by Chico's. Simultaneously, #1 Head-to-Head Ken M. Wilson showed off in Chico's with his dramatic 608 as they swept the competition. Chicks With Balls remains in 6th place, while Chico's move 1 spot to 2nd.
On lanes 21 & 22: XXX kept grabbing the balls of Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends. Starring Tiffany Schmidt with her 320 series, XXX split the series with Wonder Friends. Meanwhile, Ryan Housknecht mastered Wonder Friends with his above-average 433 as they matched their opponent in wins. XXX remains in 10th place, while Wonder Friends remain in 9th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, Another Season waged a heated competition against No Pinheads. With top billing by Duncan Ferber with his 559 series, Another Season collected 3 wins against No Pinheads. Across the ball return, Phil Schroeder ruled No Pinheads with his 476 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, Another Season leaps 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while No Pinheads sink 1 spot to 5th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Turkey Sandwich did battle with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. In spite of the prowess of Jason Carpio with his below-average 485 series, Turkey Sandwich got swept by Schlitz. On the flipside, Scott Murdock, Bob Brunker dominated Schlitz with their 493 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Scott Murdock) as they swept the competition. Turkey Sandwich drops 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while Schlitz remains in 1st.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: WWJB alternated between bowling and dry humping Rule 6B. Highlighting the skills of #1 Power-Ranked Rich Foster and his amazing 500 series, WWJB collected 3 wins against Rule 6B. In the meantime, Ryan Doll laid down the law in Rule 6B with his 502 despite his team notching only a single win. WWJB leaps 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while Rule 6B sinks 1 spot to 3rd.
Bowlers paying far too much for well vodka at The 200 Club include: Bob Brunker (208), Cory Chorpenning (217), Duncan Ferber (233), Ken M. Wilson (226), Rich Foster (228), Rob Kaszuba (201), and Ryan Doll (203)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Eric Summers (161, previous best 159). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Chris Lewis (515, previous best 502).
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson triumphed over his enemies in Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Ryan Doll came closest). Scott Murdock got the better of Division 3, and Ryan Housknecht eradicated Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Ryan Doll and Chris Lewis (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz calls the shots for Division 1; Angela Bradford and David Parre are both in the driver's seat (on each other's laps?) in Division 2 in a tie; Scott Murdock dominates Division 3; and Deena Slinkard governs Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 19&20, 8th-place Turkey Sandwich (hcp 87) will test their mettle against 5th-place No Pinheads. Turkey Sandwich is expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while No Pinheads are forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 6th-place Chicks With Balls will socialize with 7th-place WWJB (hcp 28). The Chicks might maintain their current strength as they just barely win the series; while WWJB ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 2nd-place Chico's Bail Bonds will chill with 3rd-place Rule 6B (hcp 85). Chico's will likely maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Rule 6B will probably hold steady as they endure a rough night.
- Next up, on lanes 25&26, 9th-place Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends (hcp 159) will match wits with 4th-place Sh!t, Another Season. Wonder Friends might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Another Season ought to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 10th-place XXX (hcp 92) will throw some gutter balls with 1st-place Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. XXX is predicted to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Schlitz is anticipated to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
