Spring 2009 Week 11 Robo-RecapThe eleventh week of Spring 2009 saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (164) and series (455) for the women. As for the men, Duncan Ferber snagged this week's high game with a 233, and high series was earned by Ken M. Wilson with a 608. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Chicks With Balls alternated between bowling and dry humping Chico's Bail Bonds. Even though highlighted by the skills of Janelle (Laube) Lamar with her above-average 439 series, the Chicks got swept by Chico's. In the midst of this, #1 Head-to-Head Ken M. Wilson dominated Chico's with his dramatic 608 as they swept the competition. Chicks With Balls remains in 6th place, while Chico's move 1 spot to 2nd.

week11On lanes 21 & 22: XXX hung out with Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends. Featuring Tiffany Schmidt with her 320 series, XXX split the series with Wonder Friends. On the other side, Ryan Housknecht commanded Wonder Friends with his above-average 433 as they matched their opponent in wins. XXX remains in 10th place, while Wonder Friends remain in 9th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, Another Season celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with No Pinheads. Showcasing Duncan Ferber with his 559 series, Another Season collected 3 wins against No Pinheads. In the meantime, Phil Schroeder called the shots for No Pinheads with his 476 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, Another Season leaps 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while No Pinheads sink 1 spot to 5th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Turkey Sandwich alternated splits with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. In spite of the prowess of Jason Carpio with his below-average 485 series, Turkey Sandwich got swept by Schlitz. On the adjacent lane, Scott Murdock, Bob Brunker ruled Schlitz with their 493 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Scott Murdock) as they swept the competition. Turkey Sandwich drops 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while Schlitz remains in 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: WWJB had some one-on-one time with Rule 6B. Reinforced by #1 Power-Ranked Rich Foster and his spectacular 500 series, WWJB collected 3 wins against Rule 6B. On the flipside, Ryan Doll reigned supreme in Rule 6B with his 502 despite his team notching only a single win. WWJB leaps 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while Rule 6B sinks 1 spot to 3rd.

Bowlers slipping into The 200 Club include: Bob Brunker (208), Cory Chorpenning (217), Duncan Ferber (233), Ken M. Wilson (226), Rich Foster (228), Rob Kaszuba (201), and Ryan Doll (203)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Eric Summers (161, previous best 159). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Chris Lewis (515, previous best 502).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson crushed Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Ryan Doll came closest). Scott Murdock creamed Division 3, and Ryan Housknecht swept Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Ryan Doll and Chris Lewis (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz tops Division 1; Angela Bradford and David Parre lead Division 2 in a tie; Scott Murdock holds the reins in Division 3; and Deena Slinkard reigns over Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 8th-place Turkey Sandwich (hcp 87) will meet with 5th-place No Pinheads. Turkey Sandwich is expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while No Pinheads are forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 6th-place Chicks With Balls will throw some gutter balls with 7th-place WWJB (hcp 28). The Chicks might maintain their current strength as they just barely win the series; while WWJB ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 2nd-place Chico's Bail Bonds will roll against 3rd-place Rule 6B (hcp 85). Chico's will likely maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Rule 6B will probably hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 9th-place Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends (hcp 159) will compete against 4th-place Sh!t, Another Season. Wonder Friends might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Another Season ought to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 10th-place XXX (hcp 92) will chuck some balls with 1st-place Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. XXX is predicted to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Schlitz is anticipated to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
