The Spring 2009 position round is now history, and and the championship will be on us before we know it! The tenth week saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Freda Schroeder landed this week's high game for the women with a 190, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 521. As for the men, Carl Goetz snagged this week's high game with a 244, and high series was earned by Cory Chorpenning with a 638. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Rule 6B couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Chico's Bail Bonds. Featuring #1 Power-Ranked Ryan Doll and his awe-inspiring 573 series, Rule 6B split the series with Chico's. On the other half of the score sheet, Most Valuable Bowler Carl Goetz showed off in Chico's with his phenomenal 626 as they matched their opponent in wins. Rule 6B drops 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Chico's sink 1 spot to 3rd.

On lanes 21 & 22: Schlitz For Us, Splits For You kept stealing sips of beer from Sh!t, Another Season. Headlined by Bob Brunker with his 529 series, Schlitz celebrated a clean sweep over Another Season. On the adjacent lane, Cory Chorpenning laid down the law in Another Season with his above-average 638 despite his team getting swept. Schlitz For Us, Splits For You leaps 2 spots in the standings to 1st place, while Another Season sinks 1 spot to 5th.

On lanes 23 & 24: No Pinheads sparred with Chicks With Balls. Led by Freda Schroeder with her above-average 507 series, No Pinheads collected 3 wins against the Chicks. On the flipside, Janelle (Laube) Lamar dominated the Chicks with her above-average 427 despite her team notching only a single win. No Pinheads leap 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while the Chicks remain in 6th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Turkey Sandwich faced off against WWJB. Showcasing Jason Carpio with his below-average 502 series, Turkey Sandwich split the series with WWJB. Across the ball return, AJ Taylor reigned supreme in WWJB with his 380 as they matched their opponent in wins. Turkey Sandwich remains in 7th place, while WWJB remains in 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends had some one-on-one time with XXX. In spite of the prowess of Drew Eldridge with his 404 series, Wonder Friends got swept by XXX. While that was going down, #1 Head-to-Head Rich DeYoung guided XXX with his staggering 575 as they swept the competition. Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends remains in 9th place, while XXX remains in 10th.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Bob Brunker triumphed over his enemies in Division 1, while David Parre staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Scott Murdock came closest), and Deena Slinkard claimed victory in Division 4. Finally, Adam Messner (Division 3) crushed this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz governs Division 1; Angela Bradford and David Parre reign over Division 2 in a tie; Adam Messner is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Deena Slinkard dominates Division 4.
