Fall 2007 Week 10 Robo-RecapThe Fall 2007 position round is now history, and and the championship will be on us before we know it! The tenth week saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (182) and series (512) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (227) and series (633) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Seefeldt the Glasscock matched wits with Dios Mios. With the strength of Don Glasscock with his below-average 596 series, the Glasscock split the series with Dios Mios. Simultaneously, Steve Kiernan showed off in Dios Mios with his 539 as they matched their opponent in wins. Seefeldt the Glasscock remains in 1st place, while Dios Mios remain in 2nd.

week10On lanes 21 & 22: Bad Newz Kennels alternated between bowling and dry humping Cannonbelt Run. Even though highlighted by the skills of Freda Schroeder with her above-average 512 series, the Kennels accomplished only 1 win against Cannonbelt. On the other half of the score sheet, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Nik Domann guided Cannonbelt with his phenomenal 630 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bad Newz Kennels plummet 2 spots in the standings to 5th place, while Cannonbelt moves 1 spot to 3rd.

On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, I Don't Know kept stealing sips of beer from Split Happens. Showcasing Cory Chorpenning with his above-average 633 series, I Don't Know collected 3 wins against Split Happens. In the meantime, Nick Allegri oversaw Split Happens with his below-average 469 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, I Don't Know leaps 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Split Happens remain in 6th.

On lanes 25 & 26: The GameCox hung out with Ebowla. Headlined by Jason Carpio with his 499 series, the GameCox split the series with Ebowla. While that was going down, Travis Kleiner ruled Ebowla with his above-average 450 as they matched their opponent in wins. The GameCox remains in 7th place, while Ebowla remains in 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Your Mom accepted a challenge by Seriously Handicapped. In spite of the prowess of Ryan Doll with his 552 series, Your Mom accomplished only 1 win against the Handicapped. Across the ball return, Tyler Hilker shined in the Handicapped with his 526 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Amy Goodnow) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Your Mom remains in 9th place, while the Handicapped remains in 10th.

Bowlers slipping under the velvet rope in front of The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (200), Brian Eye (205,211), Cory Chorpenning (215,227), Don Glasscock (205), Duncan Ferber (201), Ken M. Wilson (202,203), Nik Domann (221,218), Phil Schroeder (201), and Ryan Doll (201)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Nik Domann (630, previous best 577).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Cory Chorpenning decimated Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Tyler Hilker came closest). Dennis Laube claimed victory in Division 3, and Ryan Simonet vanquished Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Tyler Hilker (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Duncan Ferber holds the reins in Division 1; Nik Domann runs the show in Division 2; Dennis Laube and David Parre reign over Division 3 in a tie; and Travis Kleiner governs Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 3&4, 2nd-place Dios Mios will battle 9th-place Your Mom (hcp 72). Dios Mios are expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Your Mom is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Cannonbelt Run (hcp 33) will tussle with 5th-place Bad Newz Kennels. Cannonbelt might perform well and win the series; while the Kennels ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 10th-place Seriously Handicapped (hcp 208) will compete against 1st-place Seefeldt the Glasscock. The Handicapped will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while the Glasscock will probably drop their average a bit even as they rack up a sweep.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 8th-place Ebowla (hcp 160) will socialize with 4th-place Sh!t, I Don't Know. Ebowla might perform well, but split the series with I Don't Know; while I Don't Know ought to drop their average a bit while they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 6th-place Split Happens will share a couple of pitchers with 7th-place The GameCox (hcp 8). Split Happens are predicted to perform well and just barely win the series; while the GameCox is anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)

Posted by BowlingBot On October - 23 - 2007ADD COMMENTS

Fall 2007 Week 9 Robo-RecapBy now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Fall 2007 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. The ninth week saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (183) and series (498) for the women, while Don Glasscock earned this week's high game (268) and series (664) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Split Happens couldn't stop inappropriately groping Dios Mios. Showcasing James Long with his stunning 544 series, Split Happens collected 3 wins against Dios Mios. Across the ball return, John Boren laid down the law in Dios Mios with his above-average 603 despite his team notching only a single win. Split Happens leap 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Dios Mios sink 1 spot to 2nd.

This was done rather often this week by people we wouldn't normally expect. On lanes 21 & 22: Seriously Handicapped alternated splits with Sh!t, I Don't Know. Although blessed by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Tyler Hilker and his splendid 625 series, the Handicapped got swept by I Don't Know. As for the opposition, Cory Chorpenning dominated I Don't Know with his above-average 630 as they swept the competition. Seriously Handicapped remains in 10th place, while I Don't Know remains in 5th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Your Mom spent some quality time with Cannonbelt Run. In spite of the prowess of Ryan Doll with his 507 series, Your Mom got swept by Cannonbelt. Meanwhile, Seth Gunderson oversaw Cannonbelt with his 525 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Shaun Crockett) as they swept the competition. Your Mom remains in 9th place, while Cannonbelt remains in 4th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Seefeldt the Glasscock accepted a challenge by The GameCox. Topped by Don Glasscock with his 664 series, the Glasscock collected 3 wins against the GameCox. On the flipside, Janelle (Laube) Lamar reigned supreme in the GameCox with her 397 despite her team notching only a single win. Seefeldt the Glasscock leaps 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while the GameCox sinks 1 spot to 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Bad Newz Kennels took turns kicking the ball return with Ebowla. Reinforced by Carl Goetz with his 578 series, the Kennels collected 3 wins against Ebowla. In the meantime, Brian Henderson guided Ebowla with his terrific 428 despite his team notching only a single win. Bad Newz Kennels remains in 3rd place, while Ebowla remains in 8th.

Bowlers slipping into The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (218), Brian Eye (221), Carl Goetz (201), Cory Chorpenning (209,233), David Parre (223), Dennis Laube (204), Don Glasscock (268,221), Duncan Ferber (222), John Boren (209,212), Seth Gunderson (201), and Tyler Hilker (230,210)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Shaun Crockett (452, previous best 449).

The 268 rolled by Don Glasscock is tied for the 5th-best game in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Carl Goetz came closest), while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though James Long came closest). Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Kendall Kukowski came closest), and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Travis Kleiner and Amanda Cox Jeter came closest). Finally, Cory Chorpenning (Division 1) creamed this week's Interdivisional bracket. Finally, David Parre (Division 3) creamed this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Duncan Ferber holds the reins in Division 1; Nik Domann and Tyler Hilker are both in the driver's seat (on each other's laps?) in Division 2 in a tie; David Parre dominates Division 3; and Travis Kleiner tops Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place Seefeldt the Glasscock will match wits with 2nd-place Dios Mios (hcp 109). The Glasscock is expected to roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while Dios Mios are forecast to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 3rd-place Bad Newz Kennels will meet with 4th-place Cannonbelt Run (hcp 36). The Kennels might maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Cannonbelt ought to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place Sh!t, I Don't Know will share a couple of pitchers with 6th-place Split Happens (hcp 97). I Don't Know will likely have a bit of an off night, yet still manage to just barely win the series; while Split Happens will probably raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 7th-place The GameCox will roll against 8th-place Ebowla (hcp 54). The GameCox might perform well, but split the series with Ebowla; while Ebowla ought to raise their average while they keep the series tied.

Posted by BowlingBot On October - 16 - 2007ADD COMMENTS

Fall 2007 Week 8 Robo-RecapWe are now halfway through the Fall 2007 season, so time is running out for those teams who want a shot at the championship to position themselves. The eighth week saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Janelle (Laube) Lamar landed this week's high game for the women with a 135, and women's high series was bagged by Jennifer Seefeldt with a 377. As for the men, Don Glasscock earned this week's high game (277) and series (691). Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Bad Newz Kennels shared a platter of cheese sticks with Your Mom. With the strength of Carl Goetz with his below-average 487 series, the Kennels celebrated a clean sweep over Your Mom. While that was going down, Ryan Doll showed off in Your Mom with his below-average 476 despite his team getting swept. Bad Newz Kennels remains in 3rd place, while Your Mom remains in 9th.

week8On lanes 21 & 22: Split Happens matched wits with Seefeldt the Glasscock. Led by Most Valuable Bowler Nick Allegri and his above-average 524 series, Split Happens collected 3 wins against the Glasscock. As for the opposition, Don Glasscock commanded the Glasscock with his 691 despite his team notching only a single win. Split Happens leap 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while the Glasscock sinks 1 spot to 2nd.

On lanes 23 & 24: Ebowla took turns kicking the ball return with Dios Mios. Regardless of the star power of Tom Finley with his powerful 420 series, Ebowla got swept by Dios Mios. Across the ball return, #1 Power-Ranked Kris Hiestand mastered Dios Mios with his outstanding 568 as they swept the competition. Ebowla drops 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while Dios Mios move 1 spot to 1st.

On lanes 25 & 26: Seriously Handicapped kept grabbing the balls of Cannonbelt Run. In spite of top-billing by Tyler Hilker with his stunning 563 series, the Handicapped accomplished only 1 win against Cannonbelt. On the other half of the score sheet, Seth Gunderson guided Cannonbelt with his below-average 476 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Seriously Handicapped remains in 10th place, while Cannonbelt remains in 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: The GameCox hung out with Sh!t, I Don't Know. Notwithstanding the leadership of Jason Carpio with his below-average 475 series, the GameCox got swept by I Don't Know. On the adjacent lane, #1 Head-to-Head Duncan Ferber drew the spotlight in I Don't Know with his marvelous 676 as they swept the competition. The GameCox drops 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while I Don't Know moves 1 spot to 5th.

Bowlers slipping into The 200 Club include: Brian Eye (211), Cory Chorpenning (217), Don Glasscock (225,277), Duncan Ferber (230,223,223), Ken M. Wilson (211), Kris Hiestand (223), Steve Kiernan (200), and Tyler Hilker (209)

The 277 rolled by Don Glasscock is tied for the 3rd-best game in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Duncan Ferber got the better of Division 1, while Tyler Hilker cleaned up Division 2. David Parre clobbered Division 3, and Travis Kleiner vanquished Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about this bracket as it was a complete embarassment. In terms of overall points: Duncan Ferber calls the shots Division 1; Nik Domann runs the show in Division 2; Phil Schroeder tops Division 3; and Travis Kleiner dominates Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 7th-place Split Happens (hcp 40) will challenge 1st-place Dios Mios. Split Happens are expected to perform well, but split the series with Dios Mios; while Dios Mios are forecast to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 10th-place Seriously Handicapped (hcp 167) will roll against 5th-place Sh!t, I Don't Know. The Handicapped might maintain their current strength as they get swept; while I Don't Know ought to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 9th-place Your Mom (hcp 68) will compete against 4th-place Cannonbelt Run. Your Mom will likely have a bit of an off night and get swept; while Cannonbelt will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 2nd-place Seefeldt the Glasscock will chuck some balls with 6th-place The GameCox (hcp 147). The Glasscock might roll a little low, but split the series with the GameCox; while the GameCox ought to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 3rd-place Bad Newz Kennels will throw some gutter balls with 8th-place Ebowla (hcp 131). The Kennels are predicted to perform well and sweep the series; while Ebowla is anticipated to raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
