Spring 2007 Week 10 Robo-RecapThe Spring 2007 position round is now history, and and the championship will be on us before we know it! The tenth week saw three teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (176) and series (488) for the women, while John Boren earned this week's high game (267) and series (701) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Guttersluts kept stealing sips of beer from Oily Balls. Reinforced by #1 Power-Ranked John Boren and his splendid 701 series, Guttersluts celebrated a clean sweep over Oily Balls. Concurrently, Pat Searcy ruled Oily Balls with his below-average 537 despite his team getting swept. Guttersluts remains in 1st place, while Oily Balls plunge 2 spots to 4th.

week10On lanes 17 & 18: Unstoppabowl spent a romantic evening with X9XX. Showcasing Cory Chorpenning with his 562 series, Unstoppabowl split the series with X9XX. On the adjacent lane, Don Glasscock drew the spotlight in X9XX with his above-average 677 as they matched their opponent in wins. Unstoppabowl leaps 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while X9XX moves 1 spot to 3rd.

On the other half of the score sheet, Jason Carpio laid down the law in Churn and Burn with his below-average 492 despite his team notching only a single win. Those 4 Bowlers remains in 5th place, while Churn and Burn remains in 6th.

On lanes 21 & 22: Frickin' Ten Pin had some one-on-one time with Doll's Balls. Even though highlighted by the skills of Carl Goetz with his above-average 595 series, Ten Pin accomplished only 1 win against Doll's Balls. On the other side, #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler John Richardson called the shots for Doll's Balls with his stupendous 564 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Finally, Freda Schroeder (Division 2) won this week's Interdivisional bracket. Finally, Kendall Kukowski (Division 4) won this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: John Boren reigns over Division 1; Seth Gunderson calls the shots Division 2; Deena Slinkard and Dave Hickerson are both in the driver's seat (on each other's laps?) in Division 3 in a tie; and Kendall Kukowski dominates Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 15&16, 5th-place Those 4 Bowlers will share a couple of pitchers with 7th-place Doll's Balls (hcp 6). 4 Bowlers are expected to perform well and win the series; while Doll's Balls are forecast to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 8th-place Frickin' Ten Pin will socialize with 9th-place King Pins (hcp 89). Ten Pin might maintain their current strength as they and split the series with King Pins; while King Pins ought to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
  • Then, over on lanes 19&20, 10th-place T.B.D. (hcp 103) will spend some quality time with 4th-place Oily Balls. T.B.D. will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Oily Balls will probably raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
  • Next up, on lanes 21&22, 3rd-place X9XX (hcp 6) will tussle with 2nd-place Unstoppabowl. X9XX might maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Unstoppabowl ought to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 23&24, 6th-place Churn and Burn (hcp 22) will match wits with 1st-place Guttersluts. Churn and Burn is predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Guttersluts are anticipated to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
