Fall 2006 Week 4 Robo-RecapThe fourth week of Fall 2006 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (167) and series (445) for the women, while David Codding earned this week's high game (267) and series (632) for the men. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions also kicked off tonight, beginning of 13 weeks of one-on-one bowling excitement! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter matched wits with New Balls, Old Rack. Notwithstanding the leadership of Ryan Doll with his below-average 451 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Scott Murdock, Not Gutter accomplished only 1 win against the Old Rack. Meanwhile, Bob Brunker ruled the Old Rack with his 574 as his team took the series with 3 wins. I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter remains in 5th place, while the Old Rack remains in 3rd.

week4On lanes 17 & 18: Frickin' Ten Pins faced off against Hez-Bowl-lah. Though reinforced by Carl Goetz with his below-average 471 series, Frickin' Ten Pins accomplished only 1 win against Hez-Bowl-lah. Concurrently, Pete Forster laid down the law in Hez-Bowl-lah with his 554 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Frickin' Ten Pins remains in 7th place, while Hez-Bowl-lah remains in 4th.

On lanes 19 & 20: All Belts Are Off shared a platter of cheese sticks with Manute Bowl. Featuring David Codding with his 632 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Scott Murdock, the Belt collected 3 wins against Manute Bowl. On the adjacent lane, Andy McLeod showed off in Manute Bowl with his above-average 408 despite his team notching only a single win. All Belts Are Off remains in 1st place, while Manute Bowl remains in 8th.

On lanes 21 & 22: Bowlkake2 spent some quality time with TBD. Although topped by Thomas Lin with his 557 series, Bowlkake2 accomplished only 1 win against TBD. Conversely, David Parre guided TBD with his above-average 486 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlkake2 remains in 6th place, while TBD moves 1 spot to 9th.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Split Happens alternated splits with Guttersluts. Demonstrating the prowess of Nick Allegri with his 519 series, Split Happens collected 3 wins against the Guttersluts. While that was going down, Andrea DeLong mastered the Guttersluts with her below-average 332 despite her team notching only a single win. Split Happens remains in 2nd place, while the Guttersluts sink 1 spot to 10th.

Bowlers who stripped naked and shared a cozy hottub together in a back room at The 200 Club include: Bob Brunker (232), David Codding (267), Pat Searcy (201), Pete Forster (202), and Seth Gunderson (208)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Ben Lee (405, previous best 396).

Adding to the excitement, the 267 rolled by David Codding is this season's new high game for men.

The 267 rolled by David Codding is tied for the 5th-best game in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nick Allegri claimed victory in Division 1, while Rich DeYoung had his way with Division 2. Scott Murdock creamed Division 3, and Andy McLeod cleaned up Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about this bracket as it was a complete embarassment. In terms of overall points: Nick Allegri tops Division 1; Rich DeYoung dominates Division 2; Scott Murdock leads Division 3; and Andy McLeod is in the driver's seat in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 15&16, 2nd-place Split Happens will chuck some balls with 8th-place Manute Bowl (hcp 47). Split Happens are expected to perform well and win the series; while Manute Bowl is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 9th-place TBD will throw some gutter balls with 10th-place Guttersluts (hcp 68). TBD might maintain their current strength as they just barely miss sweeping the series; while the Guttersluts ought to hold steady as they just barely avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 19&20, 6th-place Bowlkake2 will share a couple of pitchers with 4th-place Hez-Bowl-lah (hcp 15). Bowlkake2 will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Hez-Bowl-lah will probably raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
  • Next up, on lanes 21&22, 1st-place All Belts Are Off will face 3rd-place New Balls, Old Rack (hcp 24). The Belt might maintain their current strength as they and split the series with the Old Rack; while the Old Rack ought to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 23&24, 7th-place Frickin' Ten Pins will meet with 5th-place I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter (hcp 81). Frickin' Ten Pins are predicted to perform well and just barely miss sweeping the series; while Not Gutter is anticipated to raise their average even as they just barely avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
