Week #6 is now in the history books and with it came very little in the realm of teams moving around in the league standings. While the league's overall average was better than we've seen lately, not much noise has been made at all on the lanes this season. John Boren led Bowltron with a 523 while Scott "Scooter J" Murdock led Gutterfingers with a 410. Getting half the league to swap places in the league standings every Tuesday night seems to quickly be on its way to becoming the norm. Week #4 brought a group of familiar faces back atop the league after a powerful performance from a man figuring out a new ball. When we first began kicking around the idea of creating a Hall of Fame for GutterAlley, I talked to Scoot about who I figured were the shoo-ins right off the bat. For 32 weeks of the year, the members of GutterAlley do battle against one another on Tuesday nights across two seasons starting in August and running into May. But, for one day of the year, these rivalries are set aside and members from the various powerhouse teams unite to roll as a cohesive unit in Kansas City's Corporate Challenge scratch bowling competition. The Spring 2013 season came to an official conclusion on Tuesday night, complete with prize disbursement and the announcement of the various season-ending awards.Proving that you can teach an old dog new tricks, this season – packed with a LOT of returning veterans – ended up being the best season in our league's history.
