A Tale of Two Standings (Apr 5th, 2022) - It was the best of teams, it was the worst of teams, it was the age of strikes, it was the age of gutterballs, it was the epoch of skill, it was the epoch of dumb luck, it was the season of Wins, it was the season of Losses, it was the spring of spares, it was the winter of despairs, we knocked down every pin before us, we had no pins fall down before us, we were all going direct to first place, we were all going direct to dead last -- in short, the second half of the current season has polarized three teams each around two diametrically opposed goals.
Hanging by a Thread (Mar 22nd, 2022) - The ninth resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings... but just barely. A single missed pin left by the very last ball rolled of the night kept last week's surprise first place team in first place another week by the narrowest margin possible. In addition, one bowler set a new personal best series and a new personal high game. Putting Out Fires, Sweeping Up the Mess (Feb 8th, 2022) - An unusually long-lasting third week of Spring 2022 saw lots of mechanical issues and some major IT issues as both Jacob and Scoot got their activity goals for the day running around putting out fires. Almost done! (Aug 4th, 2021) - While the standings still to unchanged in terms of team ranks, the number of possible outcomes for next week's championships has. Team 1 & Scoot's Fault are now the only two teams with a shot at the Championship, and the only hope Scoot's Fault actually has is to either sweep or win three to force a tiebreaker game. Meanwhile, though mathematically eliminated from the Championship, Team 2 has a reasonable shot at overtaking Scoot's Fault and moving into 2nd place. And if they fail at that, Team 4 has a shot at overtaking them for third! But that's enough about next week. THIS week, JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (160) and series (433) for the women, while Dennis Walling earned this week's high game (210) and series (574) for the men.
