Fall 2009 Week 1 Robo-RecapThe Fall 2009 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Julie Benson-Grant picked up this week's high game (188) and series (418) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (257) and series (626) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: BILFs alternated between bowling and dry humping Sweep The Leg, Johnny. In spite of the prowess of Scott Murdock with his 447 series, BILFs got swept by Sweep The Leg. On the adjacent lane, Ken M. Wilson ruled Sweep The Leg with his exceptional 626 (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked John Boren) as they swept the competition. BILFs leaves the gate in 10th place, while Sweep The Leg gets going with 1st.

week1On lanes 21 & 22: No Pinheads had a rendezvous with Split Happens. Blessed by Dennis Laube with his 509 series, with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler , No Pinheads collected 3 wins against Split Happens. Concurrently, James Long showed off in Split Happens with his 504 despite his team notching only a single win. No Pinheads begins with 2nd place, while Split Happens start off with 6th.

On lanes 23 & 24: WWJB spent a romantic evening with Chicks With Balls. Reinforced by Dave Winger with his 452 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Rich Foster, WWJB collected 3 wins against the Chicks. In the meantime, Janelle (Laube) Lamar called the shots for the Chicks with her 386 despite her team notching only a single win. WWJB starts out in 4th place, while the Chicks commence the season with 9th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Ebowla couldn't stop inappropriately groping Quick Release. Even though highlighted by the skills of Jason Carpio with his 517 series, Ebowla accomplished only 1 win against Quick Release. On the other side, Ryan Doll reigned supreme in Quick Release with his 505 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Ebowla gets underway in 7th place, while Quick Release gets rolling in 3rd.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: BOWLSH!T alternated splits with Rollin' J's. Regardless of the star power of Kelly Sands with his 432 series, BOWLSH!T accomplished only 1 win against Rollin' J's. Countering this, Julie Benson-Grant drew the spotlight in Rollin' J's with her 418 as her team took the series with 3 wins. BOWLSH!T 8th place, while Rollin' J's 5th.

Bowlers paying far too much for well vodka at The 200 Club include: Dennis Laube (208), John Boren (211,222), and Ken M. Wilson (257)

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 7th-place Ebowla (hcp 100) will face 2nd-place No Pinheads. Ebowla is expected to maintain their current strength as they just barely miss getting swept; while No Pinheads are forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 10th-place BILFs will test their mettle against 9th-place Chicks With Balls (hcp 54). BILFs might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Chicks ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 1st-place Sweep The Leg, Johnny will challenge 8th-place BOWLSH!T (estimated estimated hcp 175). Sweep The Leg will likely have a bit of an off night, yet still manage to win the series; while BOWLSH!T will probably hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 4th-place WWJB will share a couple of pitchers with 5th-place Rollin' J's (hcp 36). WWJB might maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Rollin' J's; while Rollin' J's ought to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 3rd-place Quick Release will socialize with 6th-place Split Happens (estimated hcp 68). Quick Release is predicted to roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while Split Happens are anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
