Spring 2008 Week 15 Robo-RecapThe fifteenth week of Spring 2008 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (181) and series (512) for the women, while John Coleman earned this week's high game (222) and series (583) for the men. Meanwhile, Tournament of Champions is officially down to its final eight bowlers, who will face each other next week competing for two cash prizes! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Sofa King Good matched wits with 3 Dudes and a Doll. Even though highlighted by the skills of Angela Bradford with her 512 series, Sofa King accomplished only 1 win against 3 Dudes and a Doll. Conversely, Chris Rigdon laid down the law in 3 Dudes and a Doll with his above-average 564 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Sofa King Good remains in 8th place, while 3 Dudes and a Doll remains in 3rd.

week15On lanes 21 & 22: Dr. Strangelanes, Or How I Learned To Stop Opening And Earn The Belt did battle with It's Britney, Bitch. Though featuring Shaun Crockett with his 459 series, Dr. Strangelanes got swept by Britney. Concurrently, Sarah Buchanan shined in Britney with her above-average 370 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Amy Goodnow) as they swept the competition. Dr. Strangelanes, Or How I Learned To Stop Opening And Earn The Belt drops 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Britney jumps 2 spots to 7th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Split Happens couldn't stop inappropriately groping ?. With Split Happens forfeiting, all ? needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. However, that would not be the case. In their battle to get within at least 40 pins of average, John Coleman ruled ? with his above-average 583 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Split Happens remains in 10th place, while ? remains in 4th.

On lanes 25 & 26: You Don't Know Sh!t tussled with Bad Newz Kennels. While headlined by Cory Chorpenning with his 573 series, Don't Know Sh!t accomplished only 1 win against the Kennels. On the adjacent lane, Dennis Laube reigned supreme in the Kennels with his above-average 568 (along with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Amy Goodnow) as his team took the series with 3 wins. You Don't Know Sh!t remains in 2nd place, while the Kennels remain in 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Ebowla waged a heated competition against Dios Mios. Reinforced by Travis Kleiner with his 440 series, Ebowla celebrated a clean sweep over Dios Mios. . With Dios Mios forfeiting, all Ebowla needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. Ebowla leaps 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Dios Mios plunge 2 spots to 9th.

Bowlers slipping into The 200 Club include: Chris Rigdon (202), Cory Chorpenning (203,204), David Parre (215), Dennis Laube (202), and John Coleman (200,222)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Angela Bradford came closest), while Dennis Laube decimated Division 2. John Richardson topped Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about Division 4 as it was a complete embarassment. Finally, Aubrey Moren (Division 4) ruled this week's Interdivisional bracket. Congratulations to our division champions! The following eight people will compete next week for the big prize! Division 1: Don Glasscock and Kendall Kukowski. Division 2: Dennis LaubeDivision 3: John Richardson and Chris Rigdon. Division 4: Aubrey Moren

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place Bad Newz Kennels (hcp 69) will tussle with 2nd-place You Don't Know Sh!t. The Kennels are expected to perform well and win the series; while Don't Know Sh!t is forecast to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 3rd-place 3 Dudes and a Doll will hang out with 4th-place ? (hcp 51). 3 Dudes and a Doll might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while ? ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place Ebowla (hcp 57) will face 6th-place Dr. Strangelanes, Or How I Learned To Stop Opening And Earn The Belt. Ebowla will likely maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Dr. Strangelanes will probably hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 7th-place It's Britney, Bitch (hcp 163) will throw some gutter balls with 8th-place Sofa King Good. Britney might perform well, but split the series with Sofa King; while Sofa King ought to drop their average a bit while keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 9th-place Dios Mios will meet with 10th-place Split Happens (hcp 28). Dios Mios are predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Split Happens; while Split Happens are anticipated to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
