The eleventh week of Fall 2003 saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Andee Weinfurt picked up this week's high game (187) and series (453) for the women, while Thomas Lin earned this week's high game (237) and series (646) for the men. First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Atomic Goo faced off against Bowlers of Mass Confusion. In spite of top-billing by Phil Schroeder with his 415 series, Atomic Goo got swept by Mass Confusion. In the midst of this, Corey Weinfurt took the lead in Mass Confusion with his above-average 497 as they swept the competition. Atomic Goo plummets 2 spots in the standings to 6th place, while Mass Confusion remains in 2nd.
On lanes 17 & 18: Gutter Minds had some one-on-one time with Theee Beeelt. Though featuring Pat Searcy with his 573 series, Gutter Minds got swept by Theee Beeelt. On the other half of the score sheet, Nik Domann laid down the law in Theee Beeelt with his below-average 422 as they swept the competition. Gutter Minds remains in 8th place, while Theee Beeelt moves 1 spot to 4th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Anchors Aweigh! waged a heated competition against Bowl me Ishmael!. With the strength of Most Valuable Bowler Eric Lynch and his stunning 548 series, the Anchors split the series with Ishmael. Conversely, Michael Basham oversaw Ishmael with his outstanding 463 as they matched their opponent in wins. Anchors Aweigh! remains in 1st place, while Ishmael remains in 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Spare Change took turns kicking the ball return with Wolverines. Despite being led by Demond Robinson with his 518 series, Spare Change got swept by the Wolverines. On the adjacent lane, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Thomas Lin dominated the Wolverines with his dramatic 646 as they swept the competition. Spare Change remains in 7th place, while the Wolverines move 1 spot to 5th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Thomas Lin (646, previous best 593). The 237 rolled by Thomas Lin is tied for the 8th-best men's game in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Eric Lynch decimated Division 1, while Thomas Lin conquered Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Andee Weinfurt came closest), and Dennis Pruitt routed Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz is in the driver's seat in Division 1; Pat Searcy tops Division 2; Seth Gunderson runs the show in Division 3; and Dennis Pruitt dominates Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 15&16, 1st-place Anchors Aweigh! will hang out with 7th-place Spare Change (hcp 68). The Anchors are expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Spare Change is forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Moving to lanes 17&18, 3rd-place Bowl me Ishmael! (hcp 76) will share a couple of pitchers with 5th-place Wolverines. Ishmael might perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while the Wolverines ought to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Then, over on lanes 19&20, 6th-place Atomic Goo (estimated hcp 97) will test their mettle against 8th-place Gutter Minds. Atomic Goo will likely have a bit of an off night and get swept; while Gutter Minds will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Finally, on lanes 21&22, 2nd-place Bowlers of Mass Confusion will battle 4th-place Theee Beeelt (hcp 24). Mass Confusion is predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Theee Beeelt; while Theee Beeelt is anticipated to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
