The Spring 2005 season is now underway, with eight teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. One bowler set a new personal best series. Deena Slinkard landed this week's high game for the women with a 170, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 463. As for the men, Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (214) and series (578). Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: All Belt, No Buckle shared a few beers with Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Topped by Demond Robinson with his 512 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against Nellielocks. Countering this, Dennis Laube drew the spotlight in Nellielocks with his 503 despite his team notching only a single win. All Belt, No Buckle begins the season in 1st place, while Nellielocks begin in 6th.
On lanes 21 & 22: 4 Play couldn't stop inappropriately groping Bowlingstar Galactica. With the strength of Pat Searcy with his 578 series, 4 Play split the series with the Galactica. As for the opposition, #1 Head-to-Head Eric Lynch took the lead in the Galactica with his miraculous 560 as they matched their opponent in wins. 4 Play starts out in 4th place, while the Galactica gets rolling in 5th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Handicrappers hung out with The Incredibowls. Even though highlighted by the skills of Bill Krejci with his 523 series, Handicrappers accomplished only 1 win against The Incredibowls. On the other half of the score sheet, Carl Goetz mastered The Incredibowls with his 512 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Handicrappers leaves the gate in 7th place, while The Incredibowls start off with 2nd.
Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Sub Parre had some one-on-one time with Big Pin Pin. Regardless of the star power of David Parre with his 430 series, Sub Parre accomplished only 1 win against Pin Pin. In the meantime, #1 Power-Ranked Mitch Wheeler guided Pin Pin with his 565 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Sub Parre gets underway in 8th place, while Pin Pin gets going with 3rd.
