Spring 2006 Week 1 Robo-RecapThe Spring 2006 season is now underway, with eight teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (173) and series (501) for the women. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson snagged this week's high game with a 226, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 620. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Bowl Movement took turns kicking the ball return with Yo Mama. Highlighting the skills of #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz and his 620 series, Bowl Movement collected 3 wins against Yo Mama. Simultaneously, Andy Metzler commanded Yo Mama with his 471 despite his team notching only a single win. Bowl Movement leaves the gate in 2nd place, while Yo Mama begins in 6th.

week1On lanes 23 & 24: Tatonka traded lane malfunctions with Split Happens. While headlined by Andy McLeod with his astonishing 461 series, Tatonka accomplished only 1 win against Split Happens. In the meantime, James Long called the shots for Split Happens with his 519 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Amy Logan) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Tatonka gets underway in 7th place, while Split Happens get going with 3rd.

On lanes 25 & 26: I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! matched wits with Guttersluts. Featuring Pat Searcy with his 524 series, the Belt celebrated a clean sweep over Guttersluts. As for the opposition, Erin deVries mastered Guttersluts with her 301 despite her team getting swept. I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! begins with 1st place, while Guttersluts commence the season with 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Sweeter Than Yoohoo waged a heated competition against Bora Bora. With the strength of Thomas Lin with his 518 series, Yoohoo split the series with Bora Bora. While that was going down, Dennis Laube oversaw Bora Bora with his 588 as they matched their opponent in wins. Sweeter Than Yoohoo starts out in 5th place, while Bora Bora starts off with 4th.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 21&22, 8th-place Guttersluts (estimated hcp 272) will battle 4th-place Bora Bora. Guttersluts are expected to dazzling and win the series; while Bora Bora is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 23&24, 1st-place I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! will meet with 5th-place Sweeter Than Yoohoo (estimated hcp 71). The Belt might maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Yoohoo; while Yoohoo ought to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
  • Then, over on lanes 25&26, 6th-place Yo Mama (estimated hcp 101) will tussle with 3rd-place Split Happens. Yo Mama will likely astonishing and sweep the series; while Split Happens will probably raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 2nd-place Bowl Movement will socialize with 7th-place Tatonka (estimated estimated hcp 328). Bowl Movement is predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Tatonka is anticipated to catapult their team average they enjoy their victories.
