The Spring 2006 season is now underway, with eight teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (173) and series (501) for the women. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson snagged this week's high game with a 226, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 620. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Bowl Movement sparred with Yo Mama. Showcasing #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz and his 620 series, Bowl Movement collected 3 wins against Yo Mama. On the flipside, Andy Metzler laid down the law in Yo Mama with his 471 despite his team notching only a single win. Bowl Movement begins with 2nd place, while Yo Mama commences the season with 6th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Tatonka couldn't stop inappropriately groping Split Happens. Although topped by Andy McLeod with his splendid 461 series, Tatonka accomplished only 1 win against Split Happens. In the meantime, James Long drew the spotlight in Split Happens with his 519 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Amy Logan) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Tatonka leaves the gate in 7th place, while Split Happens begin in 3rd.

On lanes 25 & 26: I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! tussled with Guttersluts. Blessed by Pat Searcy with his 524 series, the Belt celebrated a clean sweep over Guttersluts. On the other side, Erin deVries took the lead in Guttersluts with her 301 despite her team getting swept. I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! starts out in 1st place, while Guttersluts get rolling in 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Sweeter Than Yoohoo had a delightful time with Bora Bora. Starring Thomas Lin with his 518 series, Yoohoo split the series with Bora Bora. In the midst of this, Dennis Laube reigned supreme in Bora Bora with his 588 as they matched their opponent in wins. Sweeter Than Yoohoo gets underway in 5th place, while Bora Bora starts off with 4th.

The Tournament of Champions begins in 3 weeks. Here are how the divisions are shaping up so far:

• First, on lanes 21&22, 8th-place Guttersluts (estimated hcp 272) will socialize with 4th-place Bora Bora. Guttersluts are expected to breathtaking and win the series; while Bora Bora is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
• Moving to lanes 23&24, 1st-place I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! will throw some gutter balls with 5th-place Sweeter Than Yoohoo (estimated hcp 71). The Belt might maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Yoohoo; while Yoohoo ought to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
• Then, over on lanes 25&26, 6th-place Yo Mama (estimated hcp 101) will meet with 3rd-place Split Happens. Yo Mama will likely splendid and sweep the series; while Split Happens will probably raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
• Finally, on lanes 27&28, 2nd-place Bowl Movement will share a couple of pitchers with 7th-place Tatonka (estimated estimated hcp 328). Bowl Movement is predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Tatonka is anticipated to catapult their team average they enjoy their victories.
