The fifth week of Fall 2007 saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Jennifer Seefeldt picked up this week's high game (176) and series (494) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (279) and series (676) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Dios Mios faced off against The GameCox. Starring #1 Head-to-Head Bill Krejci and his above-average 627 series, Dios Mios collected 3 wins against the GameCox. As for the opposition, Jason Carpio ruled the GameCox with his above-average 526 despite his team notching only a single win. Dios Mios remains in 3rd place, while the GameCox sinks 1 spot to 6th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Ebowla hung out with Seriously Handicapped. Demonstrating the prowess of Travis Kleiner with his above-average 429 series, Ebowla collected 3 wins against the Handicapped. In the midst of this, Tyler Hilker mastered the Handicapped with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 397 despite his team notching only a single win. Ebowla leaps 2 spots in the standings to 7th place, while the Handicapped remains in 10th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Split Happens alternated splits with Bad Newz Kennels. Although topped by Nick Allegri with his below-average 460 series, Split Happens accomplished only 1 win against the Kennels. Across the ball return, Carl Goetz reigned supreme in the Kennels with his 566 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Split Happens drop 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while the Kennels remain in 2nd.
On lanes 25 & 26: Cannonbelt Run deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Seefeldt the Glasscock. Despite the strength of Seth Gunderson with his above-average 541 series, Cannonbelt accomplished only 1 win against the Glasscock. On the other half of the score sheet, Don Glasscock drew the spotlight in the Glasscock with his 668 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Cannonbelt Run remains in 4th place, while the Glasscock remains in 1st.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Sh!t, I Don't Know had a rendezvous with Your Mom. With top billing by #1 Power-Ranked Cory Chorpenning and his astonishing 676 series, I Don't Know collected 3 wins against Your Mom. Meanwhile, Ryan Doll showed off in Your Mom with his 550 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, I Don't Know leaps 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Your Mom sinks 1 spot to 9th.
