The Spring 2010 season draws to a close, with Empire Strikes Back officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (200) and series (529) for the women. As for the men, Aubrey Moren snagged this week's high game with a 219, and high series was earned by Ken M. Wilson with a 589. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 25 & 26: Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz spent some quality time with Empire Strikes Back. Although topped by Bob Brunker with his 524 series, the Schlitz got swept by the Empire. In the meantime, Ken M. Wilson commanded the Empire with his 589 as they swept the competition. Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz drops 1 spot in the standings to finish in 2nd place, while the Empire moves 1 spot to wind up in 1st.
On lanes 27 & 28: 3 Pin Moon celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Lil' Devils. Starring Ryan Doll with his 577 series, 3 Pin Moon collected 3 wins against Lil' Devils. Conversely, Andrea Caudillo called the shots for Lil' Devils with her 423 despite her team notching only a single win. 3 Pin Moon close out in 3rd place, while Lil' Devils sink 1 spot to cross the finish line in 5th.
On lanes 29 & 30: No Pinheads accepted a challenge by Bowlumpkin. Featuring Aubrey Moren with his above-average 545 series, the Pinheads collected 3 wins against Bowlumpkin. In the midst of this, Jason Carpio laid down the law in Bowlumpkin with his 549 despite his team notching only a single win. No Pinheads leap 1 spot in the standings to complete in 4th place, while Bowlumpkin sinks 1 spot to end up with 7th.
Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: The Prak Attack had a delightful time with Little Lebowski Urban Achievers. Reinforced by Joe Longstreet with his stunning 430 series, and supported tremendously by real star — trifecta-winner #1 Power-Ranked, #1 Head-to-Head, and Most Valuable Bowler Bill Riley, the Attack celebrated a clean sweep over the Urban Achievers. . With the Urban Achievers forfeiting, all the Attack needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. The Prak Attack leaps 1 spot in the standings to end in 6th place, while the Urban Achievers come out in 8th.
