Fall 2009 Week 13 Robo-RecapA stagnated thirteenth week of Fall 2009 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. One bowler set a new personal best series. Andrea Caudillo landed this week's high game for the women with a 181, and women's high series was bagged by Janelle (Laube) Lamar with a 432. As for the men, John Boren snagged this week's high game with a 266, and high series was earned by David Codding with a 718. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Quick Release deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of BOWLSH!T. Demonstrating the prowess of Ryan Doll with his 565 series, Quick Release collected 3 wins against BOWLSH!T. In the meantime, Travis Kleiner mastered BOWLSH!T with his 444 despite his team notching only a single win. Quick Release remains in 2nd place, while BOWLSH!T remains in 8th.

week13On lanes 21 & 22: Ebowla entered a showdown to the death with Chicks With Balls. Topped by Jason Carpio with his above-average 597 series, and supported tremendously by real star — trifecta-winner #1 Power-Ranked, #1 Head-to-Head, and Most Valuable Bowler Zach Frank, Ebowla celebrated a clean sweep over the Chicks. Meanwhile, Janelle (Laube) Lamar guided the Chicks with her above-average 432 despite her team getting swept. Ebowla remains in 7th place, while the Chicks remain in 9th.

On lanes 23 & 24: WWJB traded lane malfunctions with Split Happens. Reinforced by Rich Foster with his above-average 455 series, WWJB collected 3 wins against Split Happens. . With Split Happens forfeiting, all WWJB needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. However, that would not be the case. WWJB remains in 5th place, while Split Happens remain in 10th.

On lanes 25 & 26: BILFs faced off against Rollin' J's. Notwithstanding the leadership of Scott Murdock with his 489 series, BILFs accomplished only 1 win against Rollin' J's. Conversely, Corey Weinfurt shined in Rollin' J's with his 532 as his team took the series with 3 wins. BILFs remains in 6th place, while Rollin' J's remain in 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Sweep The Leg, Johnny kept grabbing the balls of No Pinheads. With top billing by David Codding with his astonishing 718 series, Sweep The Leg celebrated a clean sweep over No Pinheads. In the midst of this, Aubrey Moren reigned supreme in No Pinheads with his above-average 527 despite his team getting swept. Sweep The Leg, Johnny remains in 1st place, while No Pinheads remain in 3rd.

Bowlers bribing their way into The 200 Club include: Corey Weinfurt (203), David Codding (234,226,258), Jason Carpio (212,208), John Boren (245,266), Ryan Doll (210), and Zach Frank (206)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by David Codding (718, previous best 702).

The 718 rolled by David Codding is the new 4th-best series in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: David Codding claimed victory in Division 1, while Brett Schroeder vanquished Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though AJ Taylor and Jerry Krall came closest), and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Alison Radke came closest). Finally, Zach Frank (Division 3) triumphed over his enemies in this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson reigns over Division 1; Brett Schroeder calls the shots Division 2; AJ Hofmann governs Division 3; and Amanda Duncan dominates Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 3rd-place No Pinheads will test their mettle against 5th-place WWJB (hcp 120). No Pinheads are expected to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while WWJB is forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 1st-place Sweep The Leg, Johnny will roll against 4th-place Rollin' J's (hcp 239). Sweep The Leg might roll a little low, yet still manage to sweep the series; while Rollin' J's ought to raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 6th-place BILFs will battle 8th-place BOWLSH!T (hcp 17). BILFs will likely maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while BOWLSH!T will probably hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 7th-place Ebowla will spend some quality time with 10th-place Split Happens (hcp 20). Ebowla might perform well and win the series; while Split Happens ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 9th-place Chicks With Balls (hcp 128) will share a couple of pitchers with 2nd-place Quick Release. The Chicks are predicted to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Quick Release is anticipated to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
