The Fall 2009 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Julie Benson-Grant picked up this week's high game (188) and series (418) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (257) and series (626) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: BILFs spent some quality time with Sweep The Leg, Johnny. Although blessed by Scott Murdock with his 447 series, BILFs got swept by Sweep The Leg. Countering this, Ken M. Wilson ruled Sweep The Leg with his fantastic 626 (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked John Boren) as they swept the competition. BILFs starts out in 10th place, while Sweep The Leg gets going with 1st.
On lanes 21 & 22: No Pinheads entered a showdown to the death with Split Happens. Topped by Dennis Laube with his 509 series, with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler , No Pinheads collected 3 wins against Split Happens. Conversely, James Long guided Split Happens with his 504 despite his team notching only a single win. No Pinheads gets underway in 2nd place, while Split Happens get rolling in 6th.
On lanes 23 & 24: WWJB spent a romantic evening with Chicks With Balls. Reinforced by Dave Winger with his 452 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Rich Foster, WWJB collected 3 wins against the Chicks. On the other side, Janelle (Laube) Lamar oversaw the Chicks with her 386 despite her team notching only a single win. WWJB begins the season in 4th place, while the Chicks begin in 9th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Ebowla kept stealing sips of beer from Quick Release. Notwithstanding the leadership of Jason Carpio with his 517 series, Ebowla accomplished only 1 win against Quick Release. Concurrently, Ryan Doll took the lead in Quick Release with his 505 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Ebowla begins with 7th place, while Quick Release commences the season with 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: BOWLSH!T kept grabbing the balls of Rollin' J's. Despite the strength of Kelly Sands with his 432 series, BOWLSH!T accomplished only 1 win against Rollin' J's. While that was going down, Julie Benson-Grant shined in Rollin' J's with her 418 as her team took the series with 3 wins. BOWLSH!T 8th place, while Rollin' J's 5th.

- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 1st-place Sweep The Leg, Johnny will test their mettle against 8th-place BOWLSH!T (estimated estimated hcp 175).
