The Spring 2009 season draws to a close, with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (192) and series (499) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (226) and series (570) for the men. First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Schlitz For Us, Splits For You deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Chico's Bail Bonds. Topped by Bob Brunker with his 512 series, Schlitz collected 3 wins against Chico's. Simultaneously, Ken M. Wilson commanded Chico's with his 531 despite his team notching only a single win. Schlitz For Us, Splits For You complete in 1st place, while Chico's cros the finish line in 2nd.
On lanes 21 & 22: Rule 6B shared a few beers with No Pinheads. Notwithstanding the leadership of Ryan Doll with his 490 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder, Rule 6B accomplished only 1 win against No Pinheads. Across the ball return, Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder oversaw No Pinheads with his above-average 531 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Rule 6B finish in 3rd place, while No Pinheads end up with 4th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, Another Season celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with WWJB. Highlighting the skills of Cory Chorpenning with his 570 series, Another Season collected 3 wins against WWJB. On the flipside, Rich Foster laid down the law in WWJB with his miraculous 489 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, Another Season end in 5th place, while WWJB go home with 6th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Turkey Sandwich entered a showdown to the death with Chicks With Balls. Reinforced by Zach Frank with his 424 series, Turkey Sandwich collected 3 wins against the Chicks. Meanwhile, Kelly Minihan took the lead in the Chicks with her exceptional 435 despite her team notching only a single win. Turkey Sandwich close out in 7th place, while the Chicks come out in 8th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends accepted a challenge by XXX. While headlined by Drew Eldridge with his above-average 440 series, Wonder Friends accomplished only 1 win against XXX. On the other side, Rich DeYoung showed off in XXX with his 488 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends drop 1 spot in the standings to 10th place, while XXX moves 1 spot to 9th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Ben Wetteborn (487, previous best 450).
After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Phil Schroeder (Division 2), with landing in second place. Phil will pocket the nice first-place pot, while will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!
