Spring 2009 Week 2 Robo-RecapThe second week of Spring 2009 saw three teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (183) and series (467) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (239) and series (612) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Rule 6B faced off against Chico's Bail Bonds. Highlighting the skills of Ryan Doll with his 505 series, Rule 6B split the series with Chico's. In the midst of this, #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler David Codding dominated Chico's with his above-average 594 as they matched their opponent in wins. Rule 6B drops 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Chico's remain in 2nd.

week2On lanes 21 & 22: No Pinheads celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Turkey Sandwich. With top billing by Aubrey Moren with his astonishing 585 series, No Pinheads celebrated a clean sweep over Turkey Sandwich. Concurrently, Brian Kille showed off in Turkey Sandwich with his 364 despite his team getting swept. No Pinheads leap 5 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while Turkey Sandwich plunges 5 spots to 9th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, Another Season hung out with Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends. Though reinforced by Cory Chorpenning with his below-average 612 series, Another Season got swept by Wonder Friends. Simultaneously, Amanda Zahnweh oversaw Wonder Friends with her wondrous 400 as they swept the competition. Sh!t, Another Season plummets 6 spots in the standings to 7th place, while Wonder Friends jump 6 spots to 1st.

On lanes 25 & 26: Schlitz For Us, Splits For You deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of XXX. Headlined by Bob Brunker with his 471 series, Schlitz collected 3 wins against XXX. On the adjacent lane, Tiffany Schmidt guided XXX with her 298 despite her team notching only a single win. Schlitz For Us, Splits For You remains in 5th place, while XXX plunges 2 spots to 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: WWJB couldn't stop inappropriately groping Chicks With Balls. Although topped by Dave Winger with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 390 series, with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Eric Summers, WWJB accomplished only 1 win against the Chicks. On the other half of the score sheet, Janelle (Laube) Lamar ruled the Chicks with her above-average 432 as her team took the series with 3 wins. WWJB remains in 10th place, while the Chicks jump 3 spots to 6th.

The Chicks are expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Schlitz is forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 1st-place Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends will challenge 10th-place WWJB (estimated hcp 47). Wonder Friends might perform well and win the series; while WWJB ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 8th-place XXX (hcp 145) will chill with 3rd-place No Pinheads. XXX will likely maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while No Pinheads will probably hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 2nd-place Chico's Bail Bonds (hcp 7) will battle 7th-place Sh!t, Another Season. Chico's might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Another Season ought to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 9th-place Turkey Sandwich (hcp 25) will socialize with 4th-place Rule 6B. Turkey Sandwich is predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Rule 6B; while Rule 6B is anticipated to drop their average a bit while keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
