We are now halfway through the Fall 2008 season, so time is running out for those teams who want a shot at the championship to position themselves. The eighth week saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (204) and series (537) for the women. As for the men, Ryan Doll snagged this week's high game with a 241, and high series was earned by Cory Chorpenning with a 688. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Chico's Bail Bonds had a delightful time with Dave and the Wingers. Led by Carl Goetz with his stunning 614 series, Chico's celebrated a clean sweep over the Wingers. Simultaneously, Rob Kaszuba laid down the law in the Wingers with his below-average 402 despite his team getting swept. Chico's Bail Bonds remains in 2nd place, while the Wingers remain in 10th.

In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz tops Division 1; Aubrey Moren runs the show in Division 2; Travis Kleiner is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Amanda Zahnweh dominates Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 19&20, 9th-place WWJB (hcp 17) will challenge 6th-place Bowl Movement. WWJB is expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Bowl Movement is forecast to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 1st-place Ain't No Sh!t will chuck some balls with 7th-place Livin' On A Spare (hcp 223). Ain't No Sh!t might have the bottom drop out of their averages as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Livin' On A Spare ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 10th-place Dave and the Wingers (hcp 46) will throw some gutter balls with 5th-place Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty. The Wingers will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Spare The Rod will probably raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Next up, on lanes 25&26, 4th-place Bad Newz Kennels will chill with 8th-place Is This Billable? (hcp 54). The Kennels might perform well and sweep the series; while Is This Billable? ought to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
