Fall 2008 Week 6 Robo-RecapThe sixth week of Fall 2008 saw four teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (176) and series (495) for the women. As for the men, Duncan Ferber snagged this week's high game with a 255, and high series was earned by Cory Chorpenning with a 660. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Livin' On A Spare tussled with WWJB. Featuring Ben Lee with his powerful 404 series, Livin' On A Spare celebrated a clean sweep over WWJB. Conversely, Justin Wehrman showed off in WWJB with his below-average 403 despite his team getting swept. Livin' On A Spare leaps 3 spots in the standings to 5th place, while WWJB remains in 9th.

week6On lanes 21 & 22: Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Bowl Movement. Reinforced by Will Jeter with his 477 series, Spare The Rod celebrated a clean sweep over Bowl Movement. In the meantime, Travis Kleiner ruled Bowl Movement with his below-average 405 despite his team getting swept. Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty leaps 3 spots in the standings to 4th place, while Bowl Movement plunges 3 spots to 7th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Is This Billable? took turns kicking the ball return with Ain't No Sh!t. While headlined by Ryan Doll with his 513 series, Is This Billable? got swept by Ain't No Sh!t. On the other half of the score sheet, Cory Chorpenning mastered Ain't No Sh!t with his above-average 660 (with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler ) as they swept the competition. Is This Billable? plummets 2 spots in the standings to 8th place, while Ain't No Sh!t moves 1 spot to 2nd.

On lanes 25 & 26: Dios Mios alternated splits with Dave and the Wingers. Topped by Most Valuable Bowler Bill Krejci and his above-average 589 series, Dios Mios celebrated a clean sweep over the Wingers. . With the Wingers forfeiting, all Dios Mios needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. Dios Mios leap 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while the Wingers remain in 10th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Bad Newz Kennels did battle with Chico's Bail Bonds. Highlighting the skills of #1 Power-Ranked Aubrey Moren and his stunning 533 series, the Kennels collected 3 wins against Chico's. In the midst of this, Carl Goetz guided Chico's with his above-average 535 despite his team notching only a single win. Bad Newz Kennels drop 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Chico's plunge 2 spots to 3rd.

  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 6th-place Bad Newz Kennels will battle 5th-place Livin' On A Spare (hcp 116). The Kennels will likely maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Livin' On A Spare; while Livin' On A Spare will probably raise their average while they keep the series tied.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 7th-place Bowl Movement (hcp 122) will compete against 3rd-place Chico's Bail Bonds. Bowl Movement might perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while Chico's ought to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
